5.0 out of 5 stars Eros at his Best!!
This new Album is a stellar representation of the true Classic Eros. He forever remains the definition of optimism and happiness in the italian language. This last CD is so happy, light and hopeful. All the tracks are amazing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not really a Eros fan, but close to being one.
It's always nice to hear from the fans, but one always knows/wonders if regardless of what they hear, you never really give a true review, its all too precious to them.
I am not really a fan of Eros. I had a few of his CDs and never liked them, although I tried to get into them. Then I received "9" as a gift, and it hit me, hard. I must say it's one of my favourite...

5.0 out of 5 stars One of his best Albums, May 6, 2006
This review is from: Calma Apparente (Italian) (Audio CD)
By looking at this CD means that most probably you are aware of Italian music or have at least heard a song or two from Eros Ramazzotti. As this CD goes, in my humble opinion it is definitely one of his best, maybe a close second to his other album `EROS'. As for song eleven, `I Belong to you (Il Ritmo della Passione)' with Anastacia, is one of the best ballads I have ever heared. Most of the songs are simply beautiful and proofs why Eros is so well known in the international music scene.

To sum up, this album is highly recommended!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars un classico, March 17, 2007

4.0 out of 5 stars Eros won me over, November 21, 2006
This review is from: Calma Apparente (Italian) (Audio CD)
My first album of Eros Ramazzotti and what a way to an introduction. I am not familiar of his previous albums, but this album is a great album. This to me is the epitome of good pop writing. It has hooks and melody all over the album. The production is a 5 star. World class musicians play on this album and it shows it excellence. I think that Eros' voice is very unique. It took me a while to get used to it, but in the end he won me over. This album has an Elton John feel writing wise in the slow songs even in the acoustic guitar dominated tunes. Maybe that is just me, but it's an album with full of emotions. Even songs that I wasn't crazy on "Uno Nuovo Eta." It had this modern R&B element going on, but the chorus has a beautiful melody that made me forget the verses. Atleast the R&B approach was more Brian McKnight versus a producer like Timbeland where the beats are scattered in incomprehensive patterns. "I Belong To You" duet took me a while to like. I thought the simplitic pop lyrics like "I love you" and feel of the song was a typical duet, but it also won me over in the end. The reason it won me over was because the progression of chords of this song(very Elton Jon like)was a bit different than those usual pop duets, so it made the whole melody unpredictable in a good way. Then the two different languages made it unique, but it could also very easily be considered cheesy as well. As for the other songs there is not much to say. They are all excellent. I give this album 4 and a half star out of 5. It is one of my favorite albums I have bought this year. It won me over.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album..!! A very enjoyable music, March 11, 2006
This review is from: Calma Apparente (Italian) (Audio CD)
Great Cd by a Great Artist the CD/DVD version of this CD is great it has behind the scenes of Eros filming the music and a karoke type version in which one follows the lyrics when the music plays. The songs are great and really make you ponder. I enjoy listening music by Eros in Spanish and Italian. Either way it reaches your heart when listening the lyrics and music.
The duet with Anastacia is great...too bad she is not very well known here in America.

Well, Eros certainly outdid himself this time. it is a great album..it shows how he has grown as an artist and talks about aspestcs of his own life. i love it..he should win a Grammy like Laura Pausini (whom i recommend by the way)

5.0 out of 5 stars As always, EROS delivers!! And the spelling is OK. ;-), January 15, 2006
This review is from: Calma Apparente (Italian) (Audio CD)
For the person who writes "Please Eros - give your songs a grammar check before singing". The actual word (SOLARIDAD) that Eros is trying to say is not in the spanish dictionary of la real academia espanola, that's why the song starts like this:
"Solaridad
Esta sera la palabra que yo inventare
Se que abrire los ojos que
Se estan acostumbrando a no querer ver
Solaridad
Significara luz y calor que impregnara cada ser
Como un abrazo de humanidad
Que quisiera en torno a mi sentir"
Is kind of a word he's "inventing" to mean "luz y calor..."
There's a latin writer who tends to "invent" many words on he's music. He's to my opinion one of the greatest singer/song writers that Spanish language music has. He's name is Ricardo Arjona and he's music is always magnificent! Eros Ramazzotti is a great singer and very good song writer and this new CD is prove of that. Thanks Eros!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Eros returns with a bestseller album!, November 19, 2005
This review is from: Calma Apparente (Italian) (Audio CD)
I have been a fan of Eros for a long time already, I have all of his recordings, I love all of them but I have to note that his absolutely best albums are the last two: "9" and "Calma Apparente" which demonstrate a new level that Eros has reached in singing and song writing. The overall mood of the album corresponds to its title "Visible calm", some songs are rather sad, others have a joyful rhythm.
One of my favorites is a heart-touching "Sta passando novembre" which is a troubling ballad with rather sad lyrics " You can catch a comet by the tail and fly round the universe, may be now you would be able to reach your goal, the different world that you was never able to find before, only that it shouldn't have been like this, and now were are a little bit lonlier here". Between other song there is an optimistic song titled"Solarità" which is a logical continuation of the previously released "Se bastasse una bella canzone" - "If one beautiful song was enough",in both Eros sings about changing the world for the better, giving the people a new hope and more light.
Of course the duet with Anastacia is a remarkable track, as well as his other English-Italian duets with Tina Turner and Cher.
I recommend this album as well to all-time fans of Eros as to all lovers of good music.

I must say it's one of my favourite albums, from anyone. So I was looking forward to the next one and here we are.
Well, the first time I played it, nothing hit me at all, then all of a sudden it was the end of the cd. I thought "it couldn't have finished already?". Nothing caught my ear, nothing made it perk our of just background music. Disappointed, I played it again, this time concentrating more on the music. I liked it, didn't love it. I think its going to be one of those albums that grows on you as time goes on and repeat listenings. I've played it now about 10 to 12 times and I'm starting to like it more. I don't have a favourite song, or repeat any one song over and over. I play it completely and them repeat the whole album again.
Its a good album. Not great, but a good album. I'm almost becoming a Eros fan. Maybe the next one will convert me completely, here's hoping.
Cheers.

5.0 out of 5 stars STUPENDO!!!, November 22, 2005
This review is from: Calma Apparente (Italian) (Audio CD)
I was born in Italy and have been a fan since Eros won San Remo in the 80's. He has never disappinted his listeners, and once again he's come out with another incredible cd. Well worth the wait...hey Amazon, his biography just came out by the author Luca Bianchini! It's awesome too!
