5.0 out of 5 stars A great (non-drug) way to fall asleep!
My husband is ADD. However, when we use a real fan to cover noise from inside/outside, my sinuses go nuts. This is a terrific alternative for both of us. We tried other CDs, but frequently they try to be artistic and vary noise levels or sounds, add birds, etc. This one does not, it's one hour of a vaguely fan-sounding noise. Period. It works great! 1.0 out of 5 stars Calming Electric fan
I ordered the mp3 download, and i think it sounds horrible. It sounds like radio static, so annoying. I want something that sounds like my electric fan and is also as loud to block out other noise. In the winter its is too cold to have the fan on but the noise really helps me sleep. This sounds absolutely horrible though.

If your player has a repeat, you are set for the night. (Just make sure the alarm is set loud.) We've slept through all night parties in the next street. Highly recommended.

I read the reviews on this CD before buying it. The high ratings helped me decide to go ahead and try it. I wanted it for my daughter who is now 14 months old. She was used to hearing a small desk fan running in her room for white noise, but it was getting too cold to run the fan all night. I like the fact that I can repeat the CD all night or turn it off. This CD works for us!

We always used the hum of a humidifier or the sound of a fan for sleep time, but with the winter weather approaching we needed to change something fast to avoid our children waking one another up without freezing them out of their bed and crib. We put this CD on repeat and it plays all night long...and it really sounds just like a fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect "white noise" for newborn babies!, August 17, 2008
This review is from: Calming Electric Fan: Fan Sound CD (Audio CD)
This is great for white noise for your newborn baby! My son slept so soundly with the background noise. And I didn't have to worry about actually using a real fan that would have kept the room too cool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Complete concentration, relaxation, and focus, April 1, 2009

Calming Electric Fan
This "white noice" sound is exactly what I've been looking for....short of using the "real thing"! The sound duplication is clear, the tape duration is about 70 minutes and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to relax, block out outside noice in order to concentrate...etc. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars It is indeed the sound of a fan. :), February 7, 2009

We needed some sort of white noise for our 4 month old to be able to sleep while we continued to rattle around in the house. An actual fan not only made his room too cold, but also dried out his poor little sinuses. This CD is the sound of a fan (non oscillating) for an hour. If you put your CD player on repeat, then the only break in the sound is your CD restarting.

5.0 out of 5 stars This CD Rocks For Sleep!, June 14, 2008
This review is from: Calming Electric Fan: Fan Sound CD (Audio CD)
If you are looking for a CD to help you fall to sleep. it doesn't get much better than this Calming Electric Fan CD! I am a big fan of these sleep CDs as I have horrible insomnia and can't sleep in a totally quiet room. But finding good "sleep sounds" can be difficult. This Fan CD has a a very nice smooth mellow fan sound that just purrs along. Not distracting at all. It does seem to block out noises also so you don't get distracted or bothered by annoying outside sounds when trying to fall to sleep. This is a great tool for sleeping. You really can't go wrong with this CD.

The sound is fine, but if you put this on repeat there is an approximately 20-second gap where there is no sound. DOESN'T WORK FOR OVERNIGHT, JUST SHORT NAPS.
