These potholders look better than they work. While they do live up to their claim to be extremely heat proof, and they're affordable, they're very difficult to use. They're flexible enough but you can't get a good grip on pans, casserole dishes, etc. to remove then from the oven. Perhaps if they had a pocket to put your hand in they'd work better. For now I only use them as "hot plates" because they just don't work well for retrieving objects from hot ovens or stove tops.

These are pretty, they grip well, and they are perfect for both classicists looking for an upgrade to the whole grab-hot-things-with-a-towel approach and for those with smaller hands. Have em in blue too!

Very pretty and easy to use. These potholders fold over for better grip without a lot of "extra" holder to catch on fire or get caught on something. Highly recommend.

These potholders work very well in repelling heat from your hands, and the silicon stripes help with holding cookware steady.
Only wish they were larger in size.

I love these pot holders! They are the only ones I use anymore. Great grip, and don't burn like other pot holders I've used.

These Calphalon potholders are great for baking or grilling. We do a lot of grilling, and ordinary potholders don't last very long in our household. The silicone 'stripes' on both sides work very well to keep pans etc. from slipping from your hands. Other reviewers complained that they are too small. Actually, they are a perfect size. They fit your hands and don't drape into your food. The silicone has held up through many washes. I'll be ordering more of these, since Hubby's grilling while I'm baking - we both need them! Definately a must have for kitchen or grill.

these potholders are perfect! i purchased the green apple potholders. great color, grip really well, very easy to hold on to and protect me from the heat. i can't recommend this product more.

Got two pair of these, one of red and the other of black. Good size for getting pans out of the oven and the silicon ribs make for a good grip. I like the shape, I can store all four in the space two of my other potholders or one oven mitt.

As has been my experience with most Calphalon products, these work as intended. Delivery was on time and items were well packaged.

Burnt my hand using to get pan out of oven. No I did not toss them. Silly me got burnt twice more using them! Not heat resistant!
