5.0 out of 5 stars No more burnt cookies
I've been burning cookie bottoms for so long in my cheap gas oven that I was hesitant to spend the money to buy these insulated cookie sheets. Turns out to be one of the best kitchen investments I've made. They really do what they claim. With the ventilated second layer it doesn't matter where on the sheet they are, all the cookies have the same uniform browned bottom.

1.0 out of 5 stars TOXIC SMELL
I love Calphalon products, except this item. I bought 4 of these cookie sheets in February 2010, and spent HOURS trying to "burn off" the horribly toxic smell in my oven. After hours and hours of trying to burn it off, with my smoke detector going off every time, I finally returned them to the manufacturer. They sent me 4 more to replace them, and they did the same...

This baking sheet is wonderful for baking cookies and biscotti. Its larger size makes baking easier.

This product is difficult to find in the stores, and when it is it's WAY
more expensive than the MSRP on the Calphalon website. Even with the shipping cost this was a good buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Perfect- "Best" Vote by 2 generations!, December 22, 2008
This review is from: Calphalon Classic Bakeware 14-by-16-Inch Nonstick Large Insulated Cookie Sheet (Kitchen)
My Mom and I bake together every Christmas and had been using the same cookie sheets from when I was a child. She was shocked when I told her what I paid for this. But when every cookie came out perfectly (no burning because of even heating) and more cookies could be baked at one time,(because of the generous size)she stopped complaining. And when the cookie sheet washed so easily... Thank you. Our cookies our perfect. Our kitchen is peaceful. And I'm going to gradually buy more Calphalon products. Worth every penny!

I had one of these cookie sheets and another sheet of a different brand. I bought them both at the same time. The other brand became warped (why, I don't know) and the finish was getting bad. The Calphalon pan is still going strong with just a little sign of wear. That's why I ordered this one. I'm sold.

This sheet is thick and heavy. We've used it a few times and food does not stick, items brown perfectly, and it cleans easily. I am really pleased with this cookie sheet.

So if you get that horrible smell after a few runs in your oven and it's not going away, return them. You got some from the bad batch.

4.0 out of 5 stars a fabulous cookie sheet is worth it!, October 17, 2009

This cookie sheet is amazing, and I love the insulated layer. No more will I keep around old, warped, burnt pans! It is worth the investment if your family and friends rave about your cooking! I recommend Calphalon bakeware to everyone because it's so easy to clean, and you're at your cooking best when you've got the tools for the perfect cookie! I now feel like one of those dreamy, smiling moms right out of a 50s sitcom.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Feel and Cooks Great Cookies, March 7, 2009
By
This review is from: Calphalon Classic Bakeware 14-by-16-Inch Nonstick Large Insulated Cookie Sheet (Kitchen)
It's exactly what you'd expect from Calphalon: Nice Feel and makes cookies and biscuits without burning/extra-brown on the bottom! Yep, the price may sound a little expensive especially when you can buy a 'made-in-China' one for $2.99 at your local discount store, but when you decide to 'step-up' to a sheet which doesn't bend funky once it gets hot in the oven, or burn the bottom of foods, this is the pan you should look at.

Blessings!! Lisa

5.0 out of 5 stars Reheating Pizza, May 4, 2010

This review is from: Calphalon Classic Bakeware 14-by-16-Inch Nonstick Large Insulated Cookie Sheet (Kitchen)
This thing works great. I've used it a few times to re-heat pizza and haven't ever been closet to burning it. I've also made some baked cheese cracker things where you just put shredded cheese on the sheet and bake it for a while and they slide right off. No baking mat required. Cleaning is also real simple and easy since nothing seems to stick to the sheet (I like to hand wash, but it says dishwasher safe on the back). The price seems a tad high but there is a real quality difference between this and the $8 sheet from the grocery store. This sheet hasn't warped at all.

Also I like that this fits nicely into my old tiny GE oven (I had to modify the grocery store baking sheet to make it fit in my last 2 ovens, then it warped instantly).

I ordered two of these and one came with a large dent in the top layer. Sent it back for a new one with no issues, but I'm very careful not to use these in such a way that could damage them.
