5.0 out of 5 stars You Get What You Pay For
I bake muffins constantly. Ordinary muffin tins I have purchased looked so grungy after so little time that I finally decided to spend the extra money on a Professional Non-Stick. I am so pleased with the quality of this pan. It bakes beautifully, the muffins slip right out of the pan even when I don't use grease or spray, and it cleans up like a dream!

2.0 out of 5 stars No tender muffins here
This muffin pan delivers what it promises: non-stick muffins. But the price you have to pay for that is muffins with hard, cauterized bottoms and sides. They are tough, tough, tough. I am willing to do a little extra cleaning of a pan to have more tender muffins.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nearly no need for cooking spray., July 15, 2003
This review is from: Calphalon Classic Nonstick 12-Cup Muffin Pan (Kitchen)
I enjoy baking muffins. My usual complaint is that no matter how well you clena the muffin pans after each use, they never stay nice looking for long. These have done so for more than ayear and numerous times in the oven. They are so nonstick, you can almost forgo cooking sprays. The muffins practically pop out ontheir own when done baking. Cleaning is done in a blink. I ammonly disappointed I no longer have these, I had 2. When I was moving, the box these were in disappeared. So I will have to get 2 more. The price, it is great. You can not purchase good Professional Nonstick muffin pans for this price, they are at least 2x's as much. At this price, do as I did, get 2!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best muffin pan I've found!, July 14, 2007
This review is from: Calphalon Classic Nonstick 12-Cup Muffin Pan (Kitchen)
We have muffins often, so when my old rusty muffin pan needed replacing, I went on the search for a top-notch muffin pan.

I learned some things the hard way: A muffin pan with a NONSTICK SURFACE is essential (unless you want to leave half of each muffin in the tins). And, a muffin pan with a DARKENED SURFACE is best (light-colored shiny pans are great for cookies and cakes, but not for muffins; muffins will turn out pale & anemic-looking if they're baked in a shiny pan).

After buying two bad muffin pans, I found this one by Calphalon, and my problems were solved!

What I love about this pan:

* It's 15-1/2" X 11", a bit larger than most muffin pans. This leaves room on the ends for picking it up, and more space between the tins. If you have recipes that make generous-sized muffins, there is room for them to overflow the tins a bit.

* Each tin is 2-3/4" wide. This is the modern standard.

* The muffin pan is really nonstick! Muffins will glide out.

* You can use cooking spray of you want to; it will not damage the pan. This is helpful for really sticky batters.

* Calphalon makes a 6-muffin pan of the same material, and it's sold by Amazon. That pan is handy for small batches, or to use along with the larger pan when a muffin recipe makes more than 12.

* This pan is not flimsy; it is heavy enough that it won't warp.

* Muffins come out perfectly browned! A hint: as with any darker pan, subtract 25 degrees from the stated time on a recipe.

* You can use paper liners if you want, but they're not necessary with this pan; clean-up is a breeze!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best I have ever used!, March 1, 2006
This review is from: Calphalon Classic Nonstick 12-Cup Muffin Pan (Kitchen)
I have made muffins and cupcakes in the past with the paper wrappers because I can't stand to scrub out each individual muffin cup. I have tried every non-stick pan out there, and until these, guess what? They all stuck! Each cup would have it's little ring of crumbs that had to be scrubbed. Little tip for paper liner people: if you put 1/2 tsp water in the bottom of each cup before you put in your liners you won't have dark bottoms on your baked goods. Moving on: no more paper liners for me! This pan is truly non stick. I do spray them with a little oil from a pressurized oil sprayer (no propellant, I highly recommed this as well.) and they pop out great! I was surprised with my first batch at how quickly they were browning, but then remembered to adjust my oven temp. Almost all packages and recipes advise you to lower oven temperature 25 degrees or so for darker pans, and these do qualify. Once I adjusted my oven temperature I got perfectly browned, beautiful muffins. I love this pan so much that I bought two and now make muffins for my kids for breakfast often.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Handy, August 9, 2004

Love the Calphalon set. It is easy to clean from the no-stick surface and the paper slips right out of the pan. In the past I've used the stainless steel pans which were MUCH harder to clean and now I can't go back. I still haven't made any muffins with it, but the cupcakes are quite tasty!

I love the way my muffins turned out in this pan. They were nice and brown on the bottom and they never, ever stick. I didn't have to add extra oil or grease the pan and they were just fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT PAN, February 20, 2008
This review is from: Calphalon Classic Nonstick 12-Cup Muffin Pan (Kitchen)
Nothing sticks to this pan. After baking muffins, I just took them out of the pan using my fingers. What a pleasure compared to my old pans, that when even sprayed, the muffins always stuck and would break apart. They came out perfectly formed and brown on the bottom. Buy these pans, you won't be sorry!

5.0 out of 5 stars my favorite muffin pan, July 5, 2007
This review is from: Calphalon Classic Nonstick 12-Cup Muffin Pan (Kitchen)
I have two muffin pans, one is Calphalon and the other a cheap store purchase. The cheap one is grungy and rusty and just looks awful, though it still bakes muffins just fine. The Calphalon not only looks beautiful after much use, it also makes beautiful muffins that slide right out. And, if any batter ends up on the rims, it slides right off as well after baking, so clean-up is a breeze. We've put this in the dishwasher and not had any problems.
