5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Cookies All the Time
I have never owned cookie sheets like these. It is impossible to have something stick to it--even burned chocolate chips wipe off with a paper towel. I even bought a set for my mother who couldn't believe how easy they were to cleanup.

I got these cookie sheets because I needed some - but I've been really disappointed with them. Most of the reviews are right for the most part - they do have a fantastic non-stick finish and they do stack easily in the cupboard. My problem with them is that whenever I make cookies with them, my cookies are burned on the bottom and barely done on the top. Also, they...

Also, they are a little TOO big and I have a difficult time washing them after usage. They don't fit very well in the sink at all. Overall I give them 3 stars because they don't work well for me - but they are as advertised.

5.0 out of 5 stars no sticking!, November 7, 2003

I love these cookie sheets! Nothing will stick to them. My kids like those party-size pizzas, but the cleanup was a nightmare. The crust and cheese would stick to my other non-stick sheets and require soaking. On my calphalon the pizza slides right off. There is no lip on two of the sides, so hold the pan level. I almost lost a whole batch of biscuits the first time I took the pan out of the oven.
They are too large to fit into my sink or dishpan, but they wash up beautifully with just soapy water and the wash rag. These sheets are ideal for the large family or the one who likes to cook but doesn't like to do dishes.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Commercial, May 21, 2002
This review is from: Calphalon Commercial Bakeware Collector's Edition Large Cookie Sheets, Set of 2 (Kitchen)
I ordered these for my wife thinking I was getting commercial grade products. The thing that stands out the most in the accompaning booklet was the phrase"not for commercial use". The non-stick capabilities are great but these are thin cookie sheets that sell for a couple of dollars... We have real commercial heavy cookware and this does not compare at all. We were very disappointed.

These are the best cookie sheets I've ever bought. The ones I used to have were thin and less expensive and are now rusting. The Caphalon is easy to wash, you don't need to put any oil or grease on them. Cookies and fries slide off. They seem indestructible.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Only Cookie Sheet You Will Every Need to Buy!, March 8, 2002

Over the years, I have accumulated some of the worst looking cookie sheets that must be in anyones' kitchen. There are seven in the bottom drawer of my range, not a shiny spot to be seen. Actually, I did have one decent one, but somehow in the move it is missing. I knew it was time to do some serious replacement.

...Since I am a real lover of the Calphalon product, I thought it was time to take the plunge and purchase some new ones. The name of this set is "Warm Welcomes" and would make a great gift for a new bride or someone like myself that suffers from the old cookie sheet syndrome.

The first night I used it was to heat some mini-pizzas. They baked as expected, but the big surprise was when I began to remove them from the oven. This stuff is so non-stick, and one pizza promptly landed on the floor. I picked it up quickly, knowing that it had fallen on a "clean spot", and the dog charged over to see what was left on the floor. Of course, no one else would take the one that had the mishap, so it was mine for dinner.

Seriously, Calpahlon has continued its' tradition of excellence with its' bake ware.

5.0 out of 5 stars Durable, even heating, September 18, 2004

I have had 2 of these cookie sheets for about 4 years, and just bought 2 more so I can 'mass produce' cookies for the upcoming Christmas season.

I use them regularly in both my electric convection and gas oven, and they do a marvelous job. they heat evenly, and do an excellent job thoroughly cooking even oversize chocolate chip cookies. They have a durable non-stick surface, that has survived years of use with a metal spatula, even though I should 'know better'. The non-stick just works, even when I have bits of burnt cheese from things like French Bread pizzas.

These are true 'sheets' - not the lipped 'helly roll pans' that people often use as cookie sheets. As a result, cookies that spread while baking might spread right off the side if you are not careful. They turn up at the narrow edges giving you a good place to grip when taking them out of the oven.

These are absolutely the best cookie sheets I have ever owned. All my bakeware is Calphalon so I am accustomed to the dark finish. Actually, many newer recipes adjust the cooking times for dark finish bakeware. The sides are bent up so you can easily grab them in the oven. I have 4 of these cookie sheets; I like to get a batch ready while the first is in the oven. They are easy to stack on top of one another however I put a paper towel in between them so they don't scratch each other. The nonstick finish is fantastic, I can't say that I have cleaned anything burnt on them yet but they are very easy to clean. You really don't even need a spatula; the cookies literally slide right off. Definitely a wise investment!

5.0 out of 5 stars How did I live without them?, December 10, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Calphalon Commercial Bakeware Collector's Edition Large Cookie Sheets, Set of 2 (Kitchen)
I received these cookie sheets as a wedding gift, and after using them for the first time this past weekend while making Christmas cookies fell in love with them. I have already sent a set to my mother. They distribute the heat very evenly and the cookies bake beautifully. Nothing sticks to the cookie sheets, and they clean up like a dream. If you bake at all, these are the cookie sheets you should use. Make sure you use only plastic utensils when scooping off cookies (metal ones will scratch and damage the non-stick coating), and use only for baking -- don't ruin them by tossing on a frozen pizza.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very high quality, but I couldn't adjust to the dark finish, September 1, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Calphalon Commercial Bakeware Collector's Edition Large Cookie Sheets, Set of 2 (Kitchen)
My wife and I received a set of these cookie sheets as a wedding present. My first impression of them was that they were very nicely manufactured. They present as a sheet of heavy guage aluminum coated with a very slippery non-stick finish, each end being bent up a bit to make it easier to grab.

My disappointment with these cookie sheets came not with their construction, but with their use. The combination of a solid sheet and a dark-dark finish wreaked havoc with cookie recipes that I have been making for over a decade on my shiny aluminum cookie sheets.

I played around with the recipes several times, trying shorter cooking times and even a lower temperature oven, but I just could not make cookies the way I can on my old reliables.

Sure, you can clean up a burnt chocolate-chip cookie off of these sheets easily, and you will have to, because using these sheets you are MORE likely to burn the cookies in the first place!

(If you already are comfortable with dark cookie sheets, I would give these a 5. They are very well made.)
