5.0 out of 5 stars Calphalon Commercial Large Loaf Pan - Excellent!
The Calphalon Commercial Nonstick Bakeware line is excellent. The nonstick coating is superb, they are heavy, sturdy and very well made. The nonstick coating is so slippery nothing sticks to it. I have the large, medium and mini set of loaf pans and they are all fantastic. The large and medium sizes are great for breads, banana bread, pound cake, etc. and the minis...

1.0 out of 5 stars misleading advertising
The advertising claims "heavy gauge aluminum construction". Not true. Calphalon Commercial Bakeware is aluminized steel. Mine are starting to RUST. They put a really really thin coat of aluminum over the steel to help it heat more evenly. But this is alot to pay for a conventional rust-prone steel pan. And their customer service sucks. They haven't answered my complaint...

The large and medium sizes are great for breads, banana bread, pound cake, etc. and the minis are great for holiday baked gifts or personalized desserts. Who wouldn't like their own mini pound cake?

Although you could, I don't use my bakeware for meats, I prefer to use bakeware for baking and stainless (All Clad) or stoneware (Le Creuset Poterie) for meats and meatloaf.

One note: you may want to check on your baked goods a couple of minutes early. I have noticed that everything is done a little quicker in pans with a dark finish. Many newer recipes will indicate the timing for dark finish bakeware. These pans are also a breeze to clean, just a little soap and water and you are done.
Also, read the Calphalon brochure in the box, if you plan to nest this pan with others make sure to put a paper towel between them to prevent any damage to the nonstick coating. And, this pan is not dishwasher safe.
I wouldn't even trade my Calphalon Commercial Nonstick bakeware for All Clad bakeware, all my cookware is All Clad and I love it but nothing beats high quality, heavy duty Nonstick bakeware! Wonderful Pans! Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Calphalon loaf Pan, May 23, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Calphalon Commercial Bakeware Large Loaf Pan (Kitchen)
I have taken much pride in my kitchen wares, only buying what I thought was better products. Then I discovered Calphalon! I am presently replacing everything. I purchased this large loaf pan and compared it to what I presently have. The pan is heavier and obviously is of quality. I could not beleive the results that I acheived with this pan. I immediately got rid of my other three loaf pans and will only purchase Calphalon from now on.

This is a nice size and good heavy weight loaf pan. It did a good job on the meat loaf. Would have been fantastic, if I had lowered the temperature and watched the time better. My main complaint is the cleanup. Had to use a toothbrush to clean out the deep creases on the sides and went over it several times before getting all the gunk out. Think I will use these pans just for bread from now on.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's A Loaf Pan Not An Angel Food Cake Pan!, October 10, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Calphalon Commercial Bakeware Large Loaf Pan (Kitchen)
Great Pan for breads, meatloafs, Tofuloafs (Ick!). Your Product will cook a bit faster than the cheeper loaf pans that are out there. You will need to stay by your oven and check for doneness instead of gabbing on the telephone. Cheeper Loaf pans are not sexy! The reason your product will cook faster is the heavy aluminum commercial quality and construction. They are non- stick, but I still grease and dust the pans the way any recipe would require. Your baked goods will "Pop" right out. Easy to clean, just rinse with warm sudsy water. Then go out and buy yourself something PRADA.

Note: If you are looking for an Angel Food Cake Pan, then you should buy an Angel Food Cake Pan! These are pans that are specifically designed for Angel Food Cakes. They have a hole in the middle for even heat distribution. Bake Well! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Loaf Pan, June 24, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Calphalon Commercial Bakeware Large Loaf Pan (Kitchen)
This product is excellent. I have used it twice with no problems (knock on wood). Even though it's nonstick, I still coat the pan with shortnening. The loaves come out with no problem and the pan is a snap to clean. Just rinse and that's it. Nothing gets stuck in crevices and the loaves come out just the right texture and color. Great pan for a great price.

I do not feel I can adequately rate this product, inasmuch as there are no dimensions listed for this (or any of your products), and most certainly would not purchase without knowing if the size meets my needs.
I am looking for an aluminum (rectangular) Angel Food Cake Pan.
I have seen them in private homes, and know they exist. Will this pan be large enough/work for Angel Food Cake:
