I used this saucepan 3 times the first day it arrived! NOTHING stuck to it and cleaning it was a snap! If you need a medium size saucepot, this commercial nonstick is the way to go. You can't go wrong with this one!

Every professional chef-cook and-or serious home cook knows the importance of using the proper pot for specific purposes. So, this writing is for the novice.

So then ... As any serious Chef or Cook is fully aware of, expensive pots or pans will not make a great cook, no matter what any seller is trying to claim. Yet, this statement must be expanded to: 'Good cooking tools will aid and inspire serious cooks to improve his/her 'cooking skills', in addition, to making most cooking tasks much easier and noticeably more successful.

'Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 6-1/2 qt. (6.15 liter) Saucepot with Stainless Steel lid'

This 6-1/2 qt. pot is the perfect cooking vessel for just about anything you want to cook, which requires a deep pot. This holds particularly true for cooking 'Cheese Soups' or any one-pot meals which require cheeses in its recipes. This is a must have pot, for a small family. I own it, use it and am very happy with it.

Important Things To Remember about Calphalon's Nonstick Cookware:
1) Firstly, on VERY-LOW heat, Pre-Heat your Calphalon Nonstick pot for about one minute, before adding fat or food and do not use pray-on fats.
2) One of the most important rules in using any of Calphalon's heavy aluminum cookware, Hard Anodized or Nonstick, ALWAYS cook on either LOW to Low-Medium heat, during the whole cooking cycle. Believe me, it will cook.
3) Calphalon suggests 'NEVER' to use metal utensils on their Nonstick cookware, I have made myself a strict rule to use only plastic or wooden utensils, on all my cookware.
4) Follow Calphalon's cooking and cleaning instructions.

'The Old Stove' & 'Saucier'

I've had this for a month, it's great. i love stewing, and the size is perfect for me. however, the handles and lid do get hot, so remember to put on gloves or wrap the handles with a rag before moving the pot around.

Having expended large amounts of energy to clean and scrub my regular saucepots, I found this one to be extremely easy to care for. Quality is first class for this Ohio made Calphalon. Heats evenly making the simmering/stewing process a snap. I have been assimilated by Calphalon.

The only reason i didn't give this gorgeous pot a 5 is because the lid doesn't have a tight fit. Rather, it sits atop the pot allowing steam to escape. Other than that, i'm very pleased with my purchase.

I bought this pan about a year ago and have been very happy with its size and how things cook. However, the inside bottom has become pitted. I have never used metal utensils or put this pan in the dishwasher. I am very disappointed with the way it held up. Expected more of Calphalon.

We ordered it from Amazon and the pot was severely ovel (not round) which makes it tough to use. And of course Amazon's dodgy return policy and inability to replace a product that is defective.

So buyer beware. The price is great, the customer service around here is a little suspect.
