I first discovered Calphalon cookware in May of this year. I started out with the Commercial Hard Anodized Set and then began picking up open stock items in the Commercial Nonstick line also when I learned it was being discontinued. I have over a total of 20 pieces now and have to say I am extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of this cookware. While I find my original Hard Anodized set very functional and durable, I prefer the Commercial Nonstick for its visual appeal and ease of cleaning. When I first saw this 2 Quart Saute Pan with Glass lid advertised on Amazon I was a little wary of the glass lid versus the shiny stainless lids used by most of the nonstick line. But having now purchased and used this pan I find it most impressive. It is an ideal size for a couple or small family. It is very heavy and solidly made with a great "feel" and comfortable smooth handle that stays cool on the stovetop. I have found the glass lid very useful for monitoring the contents as they cook and it too is well made with a sturdy handle and metal frame. This pan is quickly becoming one of my favorites and in fact I have just ordered another one to keep for a future gift if I don't use it first! The current price on Amazon is great and with the Commerical Nonstick line being discontinued I would not wait long to get this one!

I love this pan! Awesome non-stick coating that's easy to clean. Love the glass lid so I can see what's happening. I just wish I had it in a larger size too!

I bought this pan specially to make rice and for that purpose it's been great. The non-stick finish is excellent. This pan measures exactly the same in diameter as the 2 1/2 qt shallow saucepan which means you can use the lids on either one. The only thing I don't like about this pan is that I paid a little more than the clearance price amazon is offering right now ;)
