Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 3-Quart Sauté Pan with Lid

The Calphalon Commercial NonStick line is high quality with a lifetime warranty. I have a number of nice pots and pans(all bought on sale--TryMe specials,etc)... Le Crusset -5Q & 8Q Dutch Ovens,sauce pans; All-Clad Stainless Steel -3Q Saute; Calphalon Commercial (NonStick and Regular)-roasting pans, stockpot, bakeware, omelet pans; which all are excellent and have their strengths.
But the two pans I grab the most often are the Calphalon Commercial Nonstick -- 3Q Saute and 9" Chef. The sizes are very practical (medium), stainless steel handles stay fairly cool on stovetop(not in the oven of course), I like the look and feel of them, flexible -- go from saute on the stovetop, to finish baking in oven to storing leftovers in the refridge, and almost wipe clean.
At this price, it would be first piece I would choose to start or add to a collection.

This is the best nonstick saute in the world, and here's why:
1) The nonstick surface is superior to anything else you will ever use, and it's guaranteed forever. The Commercial line has the far better LRS3 nonstick material than the less expensive LRS material in the Calphalon Professional Nonstick II line. I have had both for several years and I can not recommend the Professional line because the surface becomes sticky over time, while the Commercial Nonstick surface is as slippery as the day I bought it.
2) The handle stays cool.
3) The pan is stunningly gorgeous, with its matte black anodized aluminum underside and its polished chrome handle.
4) You can even finish items in the oven at 350 degrees or so without damaging the nonstick surface...
5) The weight and balance of the pan are excellent; extremely sturdy yet not unwieldy. It includes a helper handle, which is a nice feature when cooking heavy foods with lots of liquid.

One caveat: You can not put Calphalon products in the dishwasher. It will cause discolorations and pits, and void the lifetime warranty to boot! But that is not a big deal because the superior nonstick surface is a breeze to clean.

I have over 25 commercial nonstick pans in my collection. If you
are just starting a set don't hesitate to buy this offer! What a fabulous deal! This product is so easy to use and clean up, I
never enjoyed cooking like I have with these pans. Everytime I
am amazed at the food I turn out.

Note that this is a heavy pan - for this reason my wife just tends to leave it on the stove. But it cooks well and looks great. However, she says that she really needs the extra handle!

For those who are under the impression that you are purchasing a product made in Toledo Ohio, please be aware that this great pan at a great price is made in China. The quality appears consistent with other commercial nonstick, and of course the lifetime guarantee is the same.The size is perfect, just covering the large burner on a cooktop. This ensures even heating of the whole surface and (hopefully) reduces the chance that the pan will warp.

I got this pan w/ the 10 piece set about a year and a half ago and I love it... so much that I just bought a second one. This pan is great for most functions... you can fry, saute, simmer...It is the most used pan in my set.

I have owned many brands of pots and pans over the years and the Calphalon commercial nonstick are my FAVORITE. Foods cook quickly and brown evenly and clean-up is a breeze. HIGHLY reccommended!

I love this pan so much I purchased a second one at this great price. I have other Calphalon pans but this one seems to be just the right size now that the kids are grown and out.

The pan takes a little time to heat up and I noticed that it doesn't cook 100% evenly...but that might be from the gas burner which may be slightly tilted. The cool v handle is COOL but the helper handle gets HOT. Food WILL NOT stick to this pan...it's really weird to watch even the stickiest types of food slide right off. When cleaning, food sticks around the metal rivets inside the pan which hold the handles which take an extra few seconds to clean. Overall pretty impressed. SCORE 9 OUT OF 10

This is a great pan, and probably the safest non-stick pan around. It screams out "expensive"---it is beautiful, heavy, and seemingly sturdy despite previous reviews of the teflon coming off. My teflon coating seems very secure, so there may be some quality control issues; however, I know my pan is great!

I am tempted to buy more to use as gifts, or to just stock up on for when this one wears out. I am very careful with it, and do not use anything abrasive on it, plus I always wash it right after I use it, which I'm sure is helpful.

It is large enough to prepare a meal for two people inside it, which is mainly what my husband and I use it for---as a general, all purpose pan.

I would recommend it, if you still use nonstick pans.
