This casserole, with its even heat distribution and perfectly flat bottom, works great on my smoothtop range. I use it as a saucepan as well. It's so handy -- goes from stovetop to oven to table to refrigerator. Cleanup, when it eventually happens, is a breeze, and I've been spared the use (and cleanup) of other pans, bowls, etc. I like it so well that I've ordered another for those times when this one is in the refrigerator.

I love this pan. I originally bought it for making risotto, because of its non-stick surface. But now, I use it for everything. Thick bottom redistributes the heat very evenly and efficiently. The size is just right for stir-fry as well if you are making meal for around 3-4 people. The quality of the non-stick surface is unbelievable. Whatever that I made, all I needed to do is to put it under running tap water to clean it. The cover is very substantial, and seals the pan very well. Because the cover is stainless steel, I put it in dishwasher and it comes out shiny like brand new. (Not the pan, though. You are not supposed to put a non-stick pan in a dishwasher.) For this quality, the price that you pay here is a steal! Highly recommended. This pan will change your life in your kitchen!

I purchased this casserole a few months ago to replace my 20+ year old West Bend slow cooker pot, but I've found that I use it not only when slow cooking, but pretty much all the time. Clean-up is a breeze, and it cooks everything fast and tender. If you can only afford one new piece of cookware, this is it!

I bought this pan in December and liked it for a while and then I discovered the nonstick was aready peeling!! I have followed the directions on how to use it to a tee and this still happened. I cook on lower heat, hand wash only, use only nonstick friendly utensils and still only after 2 months of using the pan it is peeling. I will be contacting Calphalon.

This a wonderful pan. Don't think you can beat Calphalon Commercial Nonstick. I have had other cheaper nonstick and they don't last like Calphalon does.
Make sure you do not put this or other Calphalon into the dishwasher, it will void out the warentee. And Calphalon is known for giving the best garentee's on there products, with out questions, if you use it right.

I bought 2 of these for $39.99, then the price went to $49.99 and I bought one more (for my kids).
If a price on Amazon goes down with-in 30days after you buy it, call Amazon and they will refund you the differents.
I do notice that the price's here change as fast as the stock market does!
But for this price $34.99 I will buy one and save it for Xmas, or Chunuka, never know who is going to show up, but for this price who cares..

I called Calphalon about this pan, and they said this is going our of stock, as they now make it with , one long handle and one short one, for alot more money on amazon.
Personnaly, I have the new one with the long handle also, but like this one better.
This one fits on my stove better, and hang up most of my Calphalon, easier with the short handles. also this one takes up less room in your pantry to store.

This 4qt is not real big for a big family, but it is a really nice size. Can be used for vegies, chicken , lots of rice, fried potatoes, great for reheating left overs, etc.
Can even be used for a small stir fry, for 2 people.

I don't think you would be disapointed in this pan. You will find you will use this for alot of your cooking needs, and for this size and price for Calphalon commercial nonstick, heck you can't lose..Think this was the top of the line for Calphalon, till the new infused just came out!
But I like this nonstick better.

The 2nd or 3rd time I used this pan, I burned it so badly, I thought for sure it was "trash". Not this pan, it works great, still hasn't peeled, and is absolutely fantastic for making macaroni and cheese, the cheese sauce rinses out great. I also use it to "Quick Cook" veggies like Broccoli, Cauliflower etc. Where I add a little bit of water and blast it at high heat for about 4 minutes. I find myself reaching for this pan time and time again.

An excellent pan both for stovetop and oven cooking - have sauteed hashbrowns to baking chicken caccitore. I would highly recommend this pan - great for cooking and easy clean up (which is good because half the time I'm washing it to cook something else in it :-))

I love this pan! It cooks great. It cleans up great. I've noticed some other styles called the everyday pan, but this could also be the everyday pan. The size and style is so versatile, that I use it practically every time I make a meal. It's one of my favorite pans in the kitchen!
