Works well with meat, vegetables, and spices. Really helps with chopping onions, carrots, potatoes, and garlic. A great asset to someone who cooks on a regular basis.

Cannot say enough about this cleaver. It is absolutely phenomenal. As a cook, I use it every day, just love it....(p.s. watch your fingers, it is as professional as they come)
