I chose the Calphalon Contemporary set after trying it at a friend's house. The weight & grip are perfect for us. We love this knife! We actually have the 15-piece set from Calphalon, but this and the 4.5" paring knife are the only ones we use regularly. This knife has become my husband's favorite; I am considering purchasing a second one because we use this so often. Try it out; it's a great knife.
