I don't think the photo on the web-page at the moment is correct. My pan is much shallower, with sloping sides, than the one pictured.

Three comments: 1: this is a beautiful piece of art in addition to being a pan. It definitely belongs at the table. 2: the heating uniformity is amazing. 3: Cleanup is unbelievably easy -- two chicken legs cooked in the oven required soapy water and a dish cloth, no scrubbing whatsoever.

One bought at the regular price, (grr) and one bought at sale price. (yay)

The name is right! (And, finally, so is the photo..) I think I have used at least one of them on a daily basis since the first one arrived.

The size is nice for us, and the pan will fit in my "large" GE toaster oven that has a curved glass door... (Can't vouch for it fitting in any other unit...)

I DID have to return the second one to Amazon, due to a defect in the lid. That was an amazing experience! I notified them on a Thursday morning of the problem, printed out my return label and boxed it back up. THE NEXT AFTERNOON, the replacement arrived and the UPS guy took the defective unit with him... Did I say that was an amazing experience?

I really enjoy not having long skillet handles to contend with, and doubling as shallow casseroles is a major bonus!

I have been running the lids through the dishwasher with no ill effects to date, and will continue to do so. Of course, I am cleaning the pans themselves by hand.

I am so pleased with 10" version that I just ordered the 12 incher...

The photo does not match the pan. I agree with Richard G Plourde on that point. I also agree that the pan on offer is a great workhorse pan. I have two for my own use and have given four others as gifts!

I love this pan! I really like not having the long straight handle sticking out and it is cool to have a good looking pan you bring to the table. Very versatile. It does not requre a lot of fat to keep things from sticking and things cook very evenly. Ten inches is a nice size for cooking for one or two people.

The trick is to read the directions that come with the pan and use a much lower heat than you maybe accustomed to.

I got it on sale with the OUR GIFT TO YOU packaging, I have seen the price fluctuate since then. I think at the pricings I have seen, it makes a wonderful gift for a cook.

I agree with the comments about the photo and it looking better in reality.

The things others have said are, by and large, true: it's a lovely pan to look at; it's a bit smaller than one might think because the sides are widely flared; you can't give it as a gift, because it does indeed come in a box printed as if it were a giveaway premium; it heats evenly and cleans up easily.

In fact, for me it cleans up more easily than for most, because I put it in the dishwasher. I don't see any harm to the pan or the lid in any way.

The lid does a good job of returning condensation to the pan without dripping.

Very strange for Calphalon, my pan is not perfectly flat on the bottom. It's very close, but off just enough for the pan to rotate on the ceramic cooktop when things are stirred.

If storage space is at a premium for you, you might want to think about the fact that the top handle is high enough that the inverted lid does not nest evenly within the pan.

This pan is named correctly. I use it every day. It is truly the best thing in my kitchen. It is nonstick - it cooks evenly, and you can put it right in the dishwasher. The lid is glass and makes me feel special using this pan. I think every one needs one of these!

Was browsing and found this pan for the unbelievable price of $29.99 (department store online sale!) so I just could not resist purchasing. It definately serves it's purpose, I got it mainly to bake chicken legs/thighs. You can never go wrong with purchasing Calphalon -- their products are great and have life warranty. I love this pan...and to know I got it for this price...WOW!!!

I cannot attest to the cooking qualities of the pot, as I have to return it, but it is even nicer looking than the picture above. Planning to give it as a gift, I was dismayed to receive the pot in a damaged carton, and even more disappointed in the yellow area printed on the upper right corner of the box, where in two inch letters it states "Our Gift to You". The pot was obviously the "freebie" in a promotional offer. Buyer beware, you cannot use it as a gift. It looks like you are "re-gifting" a free offer when you actually paid a pretty penny for it.
