Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 6-1/2-Quart Soup Pot

I have had Calphalon's nonstick soup pot for a few years and am now searching for a nice shiny stainless steel pot without any nonstick surface. This is the last nonstick pot I will buy. I have stainless steel pots that I have had for decades. Not so this nonstick pot whose finish has begun to stick and look suspect on the bottom. Mind you I take care of my pots.

I really like this pot. It has a large base surface area so if you need to saute or brown onions or meat, it doesn't crowd the pieces. It would probably also work well for deep frying. The non-stick surface makes cleanup a snap. The lid is tight-fitting and the glass allows you to check for overboiling.

This is not as heavy a pot as I would like, but it is adequate. I also have problems with it spinning on my ceramic cooktop so I have to be very careful when I stir the contents.

What can I say, I've been using it for a few months now and the non stick surface is like new. I've done evrything in it from a main lobster steaming to chili's and stews, it's the best. It cleans up so easy. If you need a nice soup/stock pot don't hesitate to buy this one. Love it.

I needed to buy a replacement pot for my old non-stick soup pot and chose this one. I really love it! It's slightly larger than my old one which is what I needed and it looks great when I serve from it at the table. Very easy to clean.

I have used this pot for a year now. The coating is fine. It has not deteriorated. I make all kinds of rice dishes, ( pilav or pilaf, biryani, risotto, etc., perfect each time! ) soups, curries, sauces, jams, you name it! I fry fish, chicken and steaks in it too! The heat is even which helps even browning and speed. I am in the middle of writing my recipe book/s; it is making my work much easier.

I am now going to order the larger version to help me make more quantities for family and entertaining. I have used Calphalon products for over 7 years now. One has to be gentle with the cleaning. Since they are so easy to clean in the first place one does not have to scrubb or use harsh cleaning pads etc.

I had been keeping my eye out for this pan for quite a long time as it matches the rest of my Calphalon set. It is the perfect size for a large batch of soup. It is very nice quality and was worth the wait.

With it's price, this is a great buy. The product quality is great like other Calphalon products. I will continue to buy Calphalon products.

This cook pot is a very nice size not too big and not too small. The non stick surface works real well even when things get a little too well done.

I really do like the Calphalon Contemporary cookware design. It is very refreshing and stylish. This product is actually made in Ohio, not like most of the other Calphalon items.
