Love the glass covers and how they sit in the pans. And finally, a little bit of curves in hard anodized cookware. They heat quickly and clean in a snap. The handle stays completely cool during cooking as well. I'm extremely satisfied.

I had received this set for my Birthday from a friend. When we unpacked the set we noticed the 8 Quart pot was scratched on the interior. This made the non-stick aspect of the pot worthless. I gave the pots back to my friend and he returned them to Amazon and had a new set sent out. When we received the new set the 8 quart pot again had scratches inside the pot. I thought I would contact Calphalon to inquire about the damage and see what they had to say. I called the Calphalon customer service number but was on hold for so long I gave up. In retrospect I would spend the extra money and stay away from the non-stick surfaces with teflon coating which are prone to scratch easily. If you get the Calphalon One Infused-Anodized pans which you will never have to replace let alone deal with the lack of customer service. Remember the old saying "you get what you pay for." I don't think these non-stick pans will look very good after a years worth of use. If you do choose to buy these pans examine them when you open the box for damage.

Finally, a cookware line that adds style to functionality! I finally do not have to hide my cookware in the cupboard because it looks so great. The nonstick is fantastic and the shape of the pan offers the most versatility for anything I'm cooking. Thanks Calphalon.

Received on time, however when I opened the box and unwrapped each pot, I noticed that the large 8 quart soup pot lid had a small dent on the metal rim and the smaller of the two fry pans had scratches on the exterior. The handles do get hot when cooking. I have handled, stored and hand washed these pots per Calphalons instructions and they still scratch easily. Also after cooking in the 8 gt soup pot just twice using wood utensils, I found a scratch in the nonstick coating - not impressed at all.

I purchased this set of pots and pans as a christmas gift for my husband. Life has been so busy that we have not had time to open the box until now. The packaging was terrible. Most of ALL of the pots/pans have some sort of scratch. I am furious! A big purchase like this should be made at the local retail stores. they might cost a little more but in the end you won't have to deal with issues like this. I've never been so disappointed before! The company who sold this product should not be allowed to sell on Amazon. this is not the service one would expect.

My husband I received this cookware as a wedding gift in 2004 and used it for years with no problems. But after about 5 years of steady and proper use they started to go south quickly. Even with hand washing and proper care the teflon started coming off. The bottoms of the pans are discolored (now whitish grey). I know they are probably still under the Calphalon warranty, but I will be replacing them with the stainless primarily because of the health issues surrounding non-stick, but also because I want to upgrade my set a bit. With hand washing they occasionally retain the smells of the food that was last in the pan, particularly tomato based items such as tomato sauces. It was a pricey set and I expected it to last longer than it did, but it was good while it lasted.

We received our calpahlon set as a wedding gift and after having cheap pots and pans, these are a luxury! Not only do the pans look sleek and expensive, they heat up quickly and evenly. The handle remains cool when pan is heated, even for long periods of time. They are a bit heavy to lift when completely full of food. We haven't had any problems with scratches - we use only wooden utensils when cooking and store the pots with a paper towel between them to keep the surfaces from scratching.

I never thought about the "quality" of the pots and pans I used before I bought this set! I recently purchased a smooth-topped electric range and my old pots and pans wouldn't do. I needed really good cookware, with a heavy bottom, that wouldn't warp when heated. I priced several different brands at different price points before settling on Calphalon and the Contemporary nonstick in particular, after purchasing a large, covered frying pan in that brand. I have been so very impressed with this cookware! I highly recommend it to everyone, because I love my cookware now.

Also, I purchased this from the Cookwarestore and I highly recommend them as well. When my new set of cookware arrived, there was a defect in the 8 quart stockpot. The folks at the Cookwarestore were wonderful and extremely responsive. I had a response to my first email within hours and they kept me informed at each step, all the way through the process of replacing the stockpot. One of the best experiences I've had with a seller on Amazon; they set the bar very high indeed!

I'm an avid cook so when I got this set as a wedding gift almost 8 years ago I was thrilled. They have been a joy to use. Not only did they perform perfectly but they are also a very good looking set. They have been mostly used by me but other household members also. I mention this because not everyone is aware of how to care for them. I have always taken good care of them but have caught others abusing them eg. use metal untensils, hand blenders, or put them in the dish washer. So with some occasional mild abuse and after 8 yrs., the interior of 3 of the 5 pans/pot has started to flake and peel.

Caphalon has said that their hard anodized nonstick cook ware has a life span of 10 yrs. I think under these conditions the brand has lived up to their name. I am now in the market for a new set, I will be purchasing Calphalon again because I am happy with the quality of their product!

This 8-piece set fits our needs perfectly. We've not been disappointed. The omelet pans turn out perfect eggs. Nothing sticks (inside or out)to any of the pans. We ordered separate lids for the omelet pans and they fit snugly. This is a great set of cookware.
