Too big and too expensive,

You can get this item from Home Goods store for 14 dollars. The boiler must be at least 10 to 12 inches in diameter making it big for most small jobs.

If you are looking for the perfect double boiler insert, don't look any further. I used this for a Chocolate making class I taught and it worked wonders for all of the tempering we did. It fits onto most pots. The wide open bowl makes it easier to work with whatever product you are using it for. I would highly recommend this product!

This is the perfect item to make those chocolate, coconut, ect., cream pies. I am sure I will find many more reasons to use it ,but pies were my goal. The fillings cook and thicken faster and so very smooth. Love this item.
