I purchased a pan like this for my vacation home and loved it so much that I bought a second one for my full-time home. It is heavy and sturdy and cleans up so easily. You'll love it too.

This is a perfect non-stick sauce pan. The handle is comfortable and well balanced. The food just slides out of the pan. It washes like a dream whether in the dishwasher or by hand. It's one of the few pans that can go into the dishwasher. It's worth every penny. Buy it and enjoy it.

Trial 1. Hard-boiled eggs in this saucepan. I usually use salty water for this - about tablespoon for 2 quarts. Result - around half-dozed some white pinhead spots on bottom. That was quite disappointing, but I've decided that I can live with them.
Trial 2. Boiled 2 veal sausages for breakfast. Washed it by hand right after the meal and let it dry. Result - more white spots from p.1 and now it has changed color from "stainless" to quite "light tanned" - right up to the level of water when I cooked sausages. End of suspicions: I came to my friend's home and saw some smaller, 1.5 qt. saucepan on top of his stove. Boy, that one was really "tanned"! So, when I came home, I put back my old no-name saucepan that took a lot beating over years, scratched all over, but still sports its true stainless colors. Calphalon went to auction - good riddance. |
