The quality really makes it worth the price. It heats up quickly and evenly and cleans up with just a quick wipe!
The only complaint I've had with this pan is that I can't use my favorite utensils with it (you can only use nylon/silicone utensils). And yet, ironically, Calphalon has put metal around the rim and handle of the glass lid which tends to scratch the pan when you store them together. Otherwise, it's a terrific piece of cookware that anyone would enjoy using!
If budget allows, a great choice.
The skillet's ample depth is perfect for making Pasta Puttanesca and other dishes that require room for tossing. Note that this skillet is large. Keep this in mind when thinking of where you will store it. Lastly, the skillet is quite hefty, and you will be happy it has a helping handle.

Yes, the botton is not very flat, but it is OK. The nonstick function works well, but the skillet is very very heavy. Besides I think the design of the shape is not good.Published on March 20, 2009 by Wen Zhu
