This is the first time I tried a Calphalon product. I compared the Commercial version with this Simply Calphalon. It seems like this one has 10 years of warranty while the Commercial brand has lifelong warranty (my life or the product's life ;)).

Anyways, I wasn't expecting this to be such a great pot:
- handle stays cool nearly all the time.
- If you keep the cover on longer for a period of time, it's handle will get hot.
- super easy to clean. just couple of wipes. On the first day of getting this pot, I cooked thrice in this pot and it was just amazing.
- I found the heat to be more uniform as compared to other brands.
- you cannot put this in the dishwasher which will void the warranty.

Overall, I find this pot very use and I find myself cooking more often. From now onwards, I'll only buy Calphalon brand. I will try commercial also sometime, but I guess if this pot lasts for 10 years I'll be more than happy.

A great buy, although you might get it cheaper if you look longer since the price keeps changing on amazon quite frequently.

I've bought this saucepan for my wife a year ago. She likes it very much and she uses it daily. The saucepan is still good as new. This is lower end line of Calphalon which has only 10 year warranty but it is still a good alternative. I think it is made in China because it doesn't say where it was made. I give a four star because it is not as good as the other Calphalon's lines. I recommend to buy it if you don't want to spend much more money for other more Calphalon lines of products.

I tracked this pot for a long time hoping to get it for the $30 referenced earlier...

Well, I didn't buy it at $40, (rounding off) and then it went to $50, so I watched it everyday, and for a brief window is was so cheap, I bought two...

I don't think Amazon would appreciate me telling you what I did pay... <grin> Let's just say it was under $20... But it's a good sturdy pot in it's own right, and I'm looking forward to getting plenty of cookin' out of both of them...

The helper handle is a major plus! Even Aluminum is heavy when it's this thick and when full, "one handing" a 4 qt. pot is not something for the faint of heart, or weak of limb...

I would say if you find this baby at under $30, jump all over it...

And as an aside, I prefer the look, feel and heft of the Simply Calphalon line better than the Commercial or the Contemporarry, and I have a lot of each.. That it has only (LOL, "only") a ten year warranty shouldn't disuade you from taking advantage of the benefits of this line...

I bought this pot, you cannot beat it for the money.
I Usually buy Calphalon commercial nonstick, but I thought for the price it would be fine.

Well its better then fine, makes perfect rice, or what ever your going to use it for, Sauce , soups etc.

I still have not found the differents in the way it cooks different then the Calpalon commercial, that does cost alot more.

The simply is only coated with nonstick 2 times, the commerial is coated 3 times and is garenteed for life.

The simple is garenteed for 10 years.

The way I figure, this is not a pot that you would use everyday, so it would still last you a very long time if you take care of it.

Do not put this or any other Calphalon into the dishwasher, you would void out the garrentee, but who would put any good cookware or good knifes in the dishwasher.Its for Dishes...

THIS POT IS FANTASTIC!! I MADE THICK POTATO SOUP AND I THOUGHT FOR SURE I WOULD HAVE TO SCRUB IT. BUT AFTER JUST A FEW MINUTES WITH WATER IN THE POT, ALL THE CAKED ON SOUP FELL OFF.

the Pot is perfect for those who want to remain some semblance of good cooks when their budget doesnt allow them to keep the hundred dollar profesional quality pots. The anodized surface gives the non-stick of teflon without the flaking in a dishwasher nor the eventual lifespan. as for cooking, great, quick heat distribution and a sturdy lid and handle. what else do you want for a cook pot.

Calphalon should be ashamed to lend name to this product. I have owned other Calphalons. Thinking this would be the same, but boy was I wrong. From construction, to how long long it lasts, you name it, it's just bad. It's really a cheap product with the Calphalon name. Stay away from "Simply Calphalon".
