This much quality for this little price?

After reading the previous review, I kept an eye out to match that price, and tripped over these little guys briefly at $9.99. Not to be outdone, I also picked up three.. The one quart size finished out my cookware upgrade... I have both Calphalon and Cuisinart, anodized, nonstick and stainless - all bought on sale...

After using a set of T-Fal nonstick cookware for about 8 years, we opted to try Simply Calphalon. We had no trouble with the Simply Calphalon pieces until about the 2nd year of use. This much quality for this little price?

After reading the previous review, I kept an eye out to match that price, and tripped over these little guys briefly at $9.99. Not to be outdone, I also picked up three.. The one quart size finished out my cookware upgrade... I have both Calphalon and Cuisinart, anodized, nonstick and stainless - all bought on sale from Amazon...

I was really plesed with the quality of these little saucepans - I was expecting thinner material, at least as thin as the Cuisinart.. The only place I note they may have cut corners, is that the handles aren't polished - but I don't find that a problem at all, in fact, the "out of the cast" finish improves the grip... And because I got them at that price AND free shipping, I kept checking to see if my order actually went through.

Excellent quality for the lesser calphalon cookware line. I bought 3 on the friday sale for $12.98 and consider that quite a bargain. The Amazon product review is right on target!

I have used Calphalon cookware for nearly 20 years. I replaced my 1-quart with this new version because I scorched the old one. The 1-quart is perfect for many cooking tasks. It heats evenly and works best if you stay away from the "high" settings. The lid and handle do not get hot. Definitely an improvement.

After using a set of T-Fal nonstick cookware for about 8 years, we opted to try Simply Calphalon. We had no trouble with the Simply Calphalon pieces until about the 2nd year of use. In particular the 1 Qt and the 2 Qt sauce pans (our most heavily used pieces) have seriously shed their non-stick surfaces. Food isn't sticking, but when you look into the pot interior, you can see sections of the nonstick that are completely gone. Last week, I used the 2 Qt for the last time. I boiled potatoes in it. After the boiling, draining, and a cool rinse of the potatoes and the pot, I returned them to the pot, now cooler and unheated, where I made mashed potatoes. Using a nonstick-safe masher, everything was fine until I emptied the potatoes from the pot into the serving bowl. The mashed potatoes that were in direct contact with the bottom of the pot had tiny little specks of metallic nonstick on them. Out they went, along with the pot. In this current climate of worry over both the adverse effects of ingesting residue from nonstick cookware as well as increasingly frequent product safety recalls from China, we're cutting our losses on these in exchange for longevity of health. We "Simply" cannot recommend these.

This is a very nice little saucepan. Just the right size for a single guy's dinner. I cook rice, tomato sauce, cans of soup, beans, in this pan with great results. The non-stick surface cleans very easily. It seems to be of very sturdy construction. And it's cheap! The only reason that it doesn't get 5 stars from me is because the handle gets very hot when you cook with it, which I find annoying.

This is an excellent sturdy little saucepan, especially for the price. I used it today to cook a small amount of rice for my husband and me. After a short soak, it was very easy to clean. I'd prefer a glass lid, but it came just as advertised, so I really can't complain about that.

This non-stick pan is exactly the right size for heating a can of soup, making small batches of sauce and gravy, or the kids' morning oatmeal. I use it several times a week. It is also easy to handle and clean. The lid fits perfectly, and it is solidly made. I also have the flat griddle and crepe pan of the same series, all excellent.

I love Calphalon, and this Saucepan did not disappoint. I use it at least 3 times a week. It is so easy to clean because nothing sticks to it.

I would recommend this to EVERYONE, start using Calphalon because it is the best material out there for cooking.

to make the occasional salsa and such. only four stars since cleaning it manually as the care instructions stipulate becomes a chore if oil leaks over the side and under when cooking (try and transfer stuff fromt he pan to a dish and you'll know what I mean). Great pan nonetheless

This is perfect for all sorts of small uses. I can't believe the value and quality of this little guy. Great for heating sauces and making cheese dip for my tortilla chips. :)
