This pan is the perfect-sized stir-fry pan for an individual or a couple. The non-stick surface is very easy to clean. The pan itself is quite heavy for its size but I believe the weighty aluminum material is conducive to its fast, even heat distribution and efficient cooking ability. As someone mentioned before, the base of the pan is small, which makes the pan somewhat unstable but you can just hold on to the handle as you're cooking. Overall, this ia a great buy, especially considering its low price. (I purchased the pan for $15.99 so watch for sales).

this pan does very good making stir-fries and fried rice. heats fast and stays at temp. good for deep frying small batches of food(egg rolls). very easy and quick clean up.

This pan is very easy to clean. However, the small base won't sit stably on my gas range. I keep a hand on the handle and pay attention to how it sits on the range to overcome the problem.

I have purchased three (3) of these for myself and friends; it is perfect for useing with pre-packaged stir-fry mixes or make/modify your own. Just start the rice cooker, wait 15 mins., heat up the wok and go-to-it. (P.S...I paid $19.99 each so watch for sales)

I am very happy with this wok (stir fry pan). It is roomy when I cook for one, though large enough to cook for 2 or 3. It cooks well with just an olive oil spray. Based on other reviews, I bought the Joyce Chen J31-0063 Chrome Steel Wire Wok Ring, which hold the wok above the burner just a little bit (turn the small side up). However, the wok is flat enough to use without the ring if you are careful and don't have small children in the kitchen

The small bottom causes this to heat very slowly on an electric stove; would be better with a gas stove.

I wanted a small size stir fry pan and this perfectly fits my need.
it is nice and a bit heavy also.

I recently purchased a KitchenAid range with a stir fry grate on top. This pan works wonderfully with the grate. Great heating distribution and easy clean up.

It was smaller than I had imagined it. Remember its 9" on top and tapers down. Good quality product.

Excellent product doesn't even come close --- this is triple excellent!!! Please indulge me while I wax "philosophical" about the Calaphon 9.5 wok. It is a perfect size for most 2-4 person stirfry dishes and/or left-over warm-ups. The non-stick surface is faultless and the pan is light-weight and easy to handle. I had no problem with the handle heating up, nor did I have any trouble with how the pan fits on my GE Profile gas range.

I recommend this pan whole-heartedly, you be glad you invested in this wok of woks, especially at this great price offered by Amazon. Hey, how about a sitr-fry for New Year's Day as a non-traditional way to start 2008. This pan is Fantastico!!!
