Calphalon nonstick pans are made for the low-fat cook looking for kitchenware built to last a lifetime. This 11-1/4-inch-diameter, wok-shaped, 3-quart chef's skillet is excellent for hand-tossing stir-fried food. The heavy-gauge aluminum exterior assures even heating and the nonstick interior makes low- or no-fat cooking possible. Use a light hand on the heat dial though, to protect the nonstick surface from overheating. Also, use plastic, coated, or wood utensils to preserve the finish. The vented, rounded handle is easy to grip and is made to stay cool to the touch, and there's a short looped utility handle on the opposite side of the pan for heavy lifting. Unlike pans with plastic or wood handles, the extremely sturdy all-metal construction gives you the flexibility to put your pan in the oven, up to 450 degrees. Remember to hand wash all Calphalon pans--dishwasher detergents are bad for the finish, and their use voids the lifetime warranty. --Dale Steinke

I bought this pan to replace my old T-Fal Stirfry pan. Particularly like the glass lid that comes with this pan as you can see what's going on with your cooking. The nonstick is also very nice. The quality/appearance/versatility of this pan is excellent - much better that the pan I replaced.
