One of the things I've always liked about my Calphalon cookware is that you can use metal utensils. (Sorry, in my book, nylon utensils just never cut it.)

Problem is, with the proliferation of non-stick surfaces these days, it's difficult to find quality metal utensils. Enter Calphalon themselves, with their line.

I've used one of the small spatulas for years, and found it to be quite hard wearing. I finally broke down and bought a few more from the line, including this slotted spatula.

While perhaps more costly than other offerings, like Calphalon cookware, these utensils will offer years of service. The great feel in one's hand and easy clean-up make them all the more appealing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best ever!, August 17, 2003

I have been looking for a good spatula forever. My parents had one that was really old with a similar construction. The fact that the spatula is seperated into two different pieces is the key to a good spatula. most plastic ones flex at the mid handle and are basically not even worth the plastic used to make them. this one flexes at the middle of the slotts allowing the tip to become parallel with the pan. This makes for some serious cutting of stuck cookies that saves you time. The slotts drain a little hamburger grease and the long handle keeps you away from the flame. I wish Calphalon made power tools! This is definitely the DeWalt of cooking!
