Fully forged from a single piece of German high-carbon stainless steel, this 6-inch fork has slender prongs that spread outward and sharp points for firmly grasping a roast, chicken, or turkey so it can be carved, for picking up and serving slices, and for turning over meat in the kitchen or on an outdoor grill. For balance and strength, a full tang runs through the handle, which is formed of hygienic, fiberglass-reinforced poly that won't crack, split, or chip and is attached to the tang with the traditional three rivets. Awesome for the Price,

I bought a set of great Henckel's knives about a year ago. It's complete except for a carving fork. Henckel's makes some great carving forks, but frankly the price is excessive.I've been looking in stores for carving forks and the selection is awful. Most are really cheap looking and do not have enough strength. If you apply pressure, you can easily bend them. This is not the case with this fork. It's forged. The Henckel's 4 Star and Pro-S series forks are even more sturdy, but they cost about 3 times as much. Frankly, this fork will do the job more than adequately. A nice bonus is that it matches fairly well to the knives that I have. Great deal.

I'll start by admitting that I'm a Wusthof fan. As far as my knives go; even though I'll freely admit that the Calphalon Traditional series are an excellent value, my Wusthof Classic set is enough better to justify the price difference in my eyes. That loyalty stops fast when it comes to things like meat forks. Yes, the Wusthof is a little beefier, but the Calphalon is more than good enough for any conceivable home use at one-fifth the price. This fork is a pleasure to use for both carving and turning roasts and such. In fact, my only complaint is that at this time, they don't offer a curved fork as well (anyone listening out there?). If you are in the market for a fork like this, there is simply nothing else I've seen that even remotely approaches it for quality and value.

This is definitely in the class of Henckels ($80). Solid and nice looking. I purchased 3. What a great gift! It even comes nicely packaged. Definitely not a 'Chinese Cheapo'!
