5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect potholder...but get a dark color
I've had the orange and green ones for about a year now, and have to say they are the only potholders I can recommend to anyone (others are too big, too small, too stiff, not enough padding, horrible prints, etc...). They are ergonomic, just the right size, and the clear silicone ensures no slipping. That being said, the silicone attracts dust and dirt and food and even...

1.0 out of 5 stars Awkward shape. Too thin when folded over
I would not buy this again. The material is good. The shape is awkward. If you bend it in half to grip a handle, the sides are too narrow and you have to worry about yoru hand touching the hot pot.

I've had the orange and green ones for about a year now, and have to say they are the only potholders I can recommend to anyone (others are too big, too small, too stiff, not enough padding, horrible prints, etc...). They are ergonomic, just the right size, and the clear silicone ensures no slipping. That being said, the silicone attracts dust and dirt and food and even after repeated washings, the potholders still look filthy due to grungy silicone (though they are still as functional as new). I just bought some new ones in black and will keep the old ones in a drawer (nice to have an extra set of 2 when others in wash). You can't go wrong with these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Calphalon potholders, September 17, 2009

As with many things that I get tired of because of their mediocrity, I decided to come to Amazon to see if there were better potholders than the cheap, thin ones we have used for years. A little research, a couple days of waiting for them to arrive and voila! I'll probably never buy another kind of potholder in my life! I got two of these and I couldn't be more pleased. The silicone is sticky (maybe grippy would be a better word), they look great and they are very heat resistant. The other day I was forced to hold a super hot pan for well over a minute and although my hands did get warm, they were nowhere near being so hot that I couldn't have kept holding it. Just a few days before we received these I was racing to put down a casserole that I had been holding for about five seconds with our regular holders. Not anymore. Great product!

In this video, I demonstrate the use of these potholders and compare the size to that of regular size potholders.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars first rate, January 31, 2009

This review is from: Calphalon Twill Pot Holder, Black Licorice (Kitchen)
This is the only conveniently shaped pot holder I've found and is especially convenient for kettles. It's also better insulated than other cloth holders and far more accomodating than the numerous plastic ones which are clumsy and a terrible mess if they accidentally get over-heated.

Never burn your hand again. This is the thickest, best potholder I've ever had. I was so tired of the heat getting through my potholders. It won't happen with this one. I've asked for more for Christmas!!

Those are real nice pot holder. They hold nice and keep the hands cool to touch. The black ones looks really sharp with the black appliances.

Just a note, be careful of the middle section. Me and my husband both burned ourselves not being careful at that location.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent potholder, October 5, 2008

The larger size is really helpful when taking deep dishes out of the oven. The non slip strips help a great deal to. I'll buy more of these.

Very nice potholder--the larger size and shape makes it easier to grasp larger baking pans without getting burned. Calphalon Twill Pot Holder, Green Apple
