A great hybrid product that should replace the spatula, wider flippers and even a stirer or two. Very well constructed -- wide face, long handle, some flex -- and made out of some sort of very firm plastic. I bought for use in those all too delicate pans that can seem to play nice and not get hurt with traditional implements. All experience thus far indicate that I won't melt through this one. I chose it over the Creuset models as well as the OXO -- for 6 bucks I don't think you could ask for more.

It's about time for me to replace my Calphalon nylon large kitchen spatula! Because it was my first purchase in this nonstick line of cooking utensils, when they first came on the market several years ago, I didn't know to keep the heat below 400 degrees when using it. So the tip of my spatula is a bit melted! However, I have the matching small spatula and slotted spatula, and they still look almost new. I love the design of these spatulas--the rounded sides, the squared-off tips, and the angled handles, with notches for resting them against the sides of pots and pans--a rare combination of form and function at work. I use this spatula with my Calphalon Commercial nonstick griddle and omelet/frying pans. Highly recommended!

My husband and I are avid cooks and we thrive on great kitchen items and this spatula is truly the best quality one for the money we have ever encountered. I would recommend this spatula to anyone! We are looking forward to purchasing more calphalon items.

We've got just about every kind of spatula anyone would ever need. I bought this one when I bought some Calphalon cookie sheets (this was before I discovered Silpat) and I haven't used any of the other spatulas in our kitchen. This thing is great!

I recently purchased this Calphalon Nylon Large Spatula along with all the other matching cooking utensils from Calphalon. I like the versatility in nylon utensils as I can use them on both my nonstick and stainless steal pans without worrying about whether they will scratch anything or not. Unlike my cheap plastic utensils that these replaced the Calphalon ones are heat resistant to 400 degrees. My old cheap plastic ones had burn marks up and down the handles as I used to rest them on the edge of the pan. Prior to buying these, I didn't realize that they made melt-proof nylon. It's nice to know that I'll no longer have the problem of unsightly utensils as the Calphalon nylon ones are strong and durable. I purchased a utensil holder, so now my Calphalon utensils are on display in my kitchen. Along with all their other finer qualities, these utensils are comfortable to use. The thumb guard and finger grip on the handle makes them easy to hold. The solid black color makes them go with most any decor. These will make a nice addition to any kitchen.

WOW! This is eye-popping! This has so many great features. First, it is a durable nylon and won't scratch your cookingware. Also, it has a huge head which makes getting those big cookies and such of the tray much easier. It is also very slick and is quite good at getting things of the tray that have been baked on pretty well (such as your forgot the tray lubricant) It still works well under extreme hit and is fine in the dishwasher. I've had this for over 3 months now and it hasn't even shown a sign of falling apart. The best spatula ever!

This is the second calphalon spatula I have purchased and I am very pleased with them both. I bought this to use with their cookware and it performs as promised. I can rest it in or against a very hot sautese pan with no damage to the spatula and confine my clean-up to the pan. I have a non-stick pan for eggs and it easily lifts the omelettes without tearing them and lets me deftly flip them and slide them out of the pan.
The only improvement could be if the handle were a bit longer to use on the outside grill. A great implement for the price - get both sizes!

I have used better, and at (...) us it's a little more than i'd normaly pay. but it works.

This is a nice size spatula. It is my second. This spatula stands up to the heat better than other spatulas I have tried, providing that you keep the heat under 375 degress. I did not keep the heat under 375 degrees(this is why I needed this replacement).

This is a must have to protect all of your Calphalon pans!!! I love this spatula. I don't have to worry about harming the nonstick coating on my pans and the size is perfect for me. I want all of the Calphalon brand nylon utensils! They are wonderful! Very sturdy and easy to work with no matter what's cooking!
