if you are a southern baptist as i am and curious about the current debate within the convention, this book is a good starting point. if you are one who has studied this debate in detail, you will probably find this book lacking in substance.

This review is from: Calvinism: A Southern Baptist Dialogue (Paperback)
I bought this book to better understand the whole Calvinism debate, and was richly rewarded. One of the best aspects of the book is the "Glossary of Some Important Theological Terms" in the back of the book.
The book is a collection of articles from various theologians on a variety of subjects related to Calvinism. For each subject, two articles are offered, from opposite viewpoints. Not all the articles may interest everyone, and you can pick and choose which ones you read, as I did. The only drawback to the book might be that it is written primarily to Southern Baptists, although I think Christians from other evangelical denominations would benefit from this great resource that explains the issues in the Calvinism debate.

Balanced Discussion on Critical Topic,

This book is very detailed, but this dialogue is desperately needed. This book is balanced and fair to both sides. Whichever viewpoint one holds, it is important to understand that many Evangelicals don't know either side of this argument and in fact don't hold either of these traditional views. Our lack of Scriptural knowledge is a serious matter for Evangelicals. This book will inform you about both traditional views and ground you in Scripture and give you an historical perspective. To quote Cicero - "To not know what happended before you were born, is to forever be a child."
