Superb interpretation of archival material, May 16, 2010

Yet another brilliant album by the great Monty Alexander, featuring work by one of his primary influences. Alexander often draws comparisons to Oscar Peterson for his virtuosity, but I've always found him more soulful, and his Jamaican roots give him a unique style among jazz pianists. Buy this one; you won't be disappointed. Monty plays Nat--a great concept and magnificent outcome.
