Camberwell Beauty is a fairly ordinary chick-lit novel with few redeeming values. I found the story to be fragmented and difficult at best- I felt that the author was more interested in bashing the ugly daughter of the main character rather than creating a coherent plot. I found it difficult to follow.It's not at all amusing, and the jokes are cliched and mainstream. This book's fine if you've got plenty of time on your hands and are a devotee of the genre, but otherwise, stay away. |
