They are approximately three hours long in total. The tracks for the CDs include a Guide to Pronunciation, Vocabulary, Conversations and Sentences for Lessons One through Ten, Consonants, Vowels, Tones and Useful Words and Phrases.

About the Author
Richard Gilbert has extensive experience with the Cambodian language and culture. He originally learned the Cambodian language as a missionary and has since worked in Cambodia for several organizations. Currently, he resides in Northern California and works as a Cambodian language translator and interpreter.

Excellent experience! I have to say that I have bought many books that claim they teach Cambodian/Khmer language. This is the best book yet as it is very well organized and easy to use. Highly recommended!!!

The lessons here seem good and easy to follow. I wish the native speaker would repeat the phrases and words more than once though. Also, it takes a few listens before the dialogs are more than a blur of sound. While I approve of hearing them at conversational speed to develop the ear, it would be nice to hear them slower as well.
More could be done to add material that is in the book on the CD, but overall, I was quite pleased.

Learning Cambodian,

This is a very good beginners CD and book. Very helpful and for the most part easy to follow along. With practice can learn to speak Kmai/Cambodian well. I just wish it was easier to stop at a section to really hear and repeat the words. Can be done but takes some trial and error. Overall very good.
