A pricey DVD player that looks less pricey in person.,

I bought this to go with the Azur 540a Amplifier. They both look great from a distance, but fall short upon closer inspection. This DVD player has the same blue LED's as the rest of the Azur series, but the digital display in the center of the player uses a greener shade of blue. It's a minor flaw, but surprisingly annoying. The mismatching shades of blue make a rather pricey DVD player look rather un-pricey.
As for performance, it plays DVD's and CD's just fine, but no better than a player that costs half as much. I was willing to pay extra for what was supposed to be high quality build and aesthetics. It fell short on that, so I do not recommend the Azur 540d. |
