Review

"Well written and meticulously researched, it represents the very best of what contemporary scholars of ancient philosophy are producing." Religious Studies Review

Book Description

The Cambridge Companion to Greek and Roman Philosophy is a wide-ranging introduction to the study of philosophy in the ancient world. It surveys the developments of the period and evaluates a comprehensive series of major thinkers, ranging from Pythagoras to Epicurus. Practical elements such as tables, illustrations, and extensive advice on further reading make it an ideal book to accompany survey courses on the history of ancient philosophy. It will be an invaluable guide for all who are interested in the philosophical thought of this rich and formative period.

This book is exactly what I was looking for. I don't mind used books as long as they are in good shape and this one was.

Because I'm a kid and I read this book in school and was tested on it I didn't enjoy it. But if you are a teacher and need a book about Greece this is definetly for you!
