OK for the price, but not high quality,

I currently own a flatware set of the same design, but of much better quality. I had ordered these in hopes of adding to the current set, but these are comparatively flimsy feeling. Further, the black handle design doesn't feel smooth and the individual parts comprising each piece are noticeable. For $20, they're OK, but I'll continue to look for a better quality product. I returned this set to Amazon.

Great looking silverware with the black handles. Sturdy but not too heavy. Great finish. Would suit mod. decor nicely. Love them.

No Cambridge name on product,

I purchased two sets of this flateware and it looks very nice. However, I think that since it came with a Limited twentyfive year warranty it would have the Cambridge name on it.Makes one think, just how much of a quality product did I recieve? It does have MADE IN CHINA on it :)))

I Reviewed The White; Same Goes For The Black,

I'll just repeat my white review here, if you don't mind. Since these are basically the same flatware sets, that should work, right? Although it's strange that white should get more bad votes. Does this mean anything beyond what I say here about what the heck we're reviewing? Judge for yourself. Oh, just reverse my colors. OK, let's get to reviewing the product for what it is, eh? I received mine. In fact, I ordered and received both a white set (shown here) and a black set (shown elsewhere). All came through just fine. So much for a review of the shipper. Usually Amazon will help out when a shipment doesn't arrive in the alloted time, anyway. If you want to vote against the shipper, there's a place for that. Mention it, fine; but there's more to a merchandise review, I think. Now, how about the product? I might come back and redo my review in a year or two. Or, I might just forget it and let que sera, sera, as Doris Day taught us so well. I'm spending approximately $20 on each set of four place settings, right? I mean, it's not like I'm buying a set of Sterling to hand down through my family for generations. Have you priced great-grandma's Sterling recently? Are these worth the twenty bucks or not? This set will do fine in my present world. It feels good in my hand, has a nice weight, each piece. Nothing seems loose after a couple of weeks and no funny colors showing through as yet. The sizes of the utensils are great. Somebody commented on those soup spoons; and they can double as serving spoons in a pinch. Like I said, I ordered a black set. Then, after looking at them quickly, ordered a white set. Now I'm ready for the Artists' & Models' Ball -- is that still in B&W? Best of all, I have eight place settings that look good and feel better in my hand, all for forty bucks or so. Worth it, and ain't that what we're talking about here? Yeah, these are actually pretty darn nice for the money. But let's remember, a review is an opinion... on the merchandise being reviewed. Now you have mine.

These are really cute. The silver finish started wearing off w/in 1 year and if I get those areas anywhere near my mouth, I get a really gross metallic taste. Not sure if that's safe ....
It says they're dishwasher safe and I live alone and don't go through that much silverwear, so it would be interesting to know how long they would last in a family.

There are sturdy pieces of flatware and feel heavy for their price. I was surprised with the quality and am pleased.

this is a strong durable set of silverware, they will not break and will last for a good 20 to 30 years...
For the amount that I paid, one could not do better. |
