Cambridge Soundworks 735 is an AM/FM table radio with stereo sound but it sounds like no other table radio. In addition to the 2 full-range drivers, Cambridge integrates a subwoofer that delivers precise, low frequencies that make the 735 sound like a large sound system. The 735 replaces Cambridge's successful 730 radio which, initially, introduced the subwoofer concept. The 735 adds an included external iPod dock that lets you play your iPod through the 735 and appreciate its wonderful sound qualities to an even higher degree. The dock also doubles as a charger for your iPod. The SoundWorks Radio has 16 presets for two bands of FM tuning and 8 presets for AM reception. Front inputs for your CD or MP3 player, and a headphone jack. Rear inputs and outputs for recording, mixing and outside signal reception. There's a large, easy to read display, a sleep timer, and 2 alarm settings. Everything you expect from a quality radio plus exquisite sound and more flexibility than you're accustomed to. The problems have been regarding the ability to charge and listen to my Ipod. The edition of my Ipod was too new to be able to charge it. The company had no resolution for that problem. No the connection elelment have broken off. I have been disappointed in the produce and the customer service, or lack of same. I was told I could buy a newer unit at a discount. I wasn't enthusiastic about spending more money on a Cambridge product.

I've owned a 730 for 4yrs, never had a problem with it though getting a replacement remote(I lost the one i had)is like pulling teeth, I have it hooked up to my 13" TV and XM radio in my bedroom. Word of warning,take care of your remote......!

I purchased the previous model of Cambridge radio-- the 730-- because the sound was incredibe for such a small unit. I purchased the unit from a reputable store in the midwest (Nebraska Furniture Mart), but when the radio quit working 6 months after i owned it, Cambridge would not perform any warranty work, because Cambridge said that NFM was not an authorized retailer!! So, now, i've spent good $$ for a radio that lasted six months. It's a great radio, but just realize that you are taking a risk when you buy one. I though a company would stand behind a $300 radio. Maybe i'll have better luck with Bose...
