Product Description

The Cambridge SoundWorks BassCube 12S uses a 12-inch long-throw woofer and a 100-watt RMS amplifier to deliver room-shaking bass at an earth-shaking price, with a sleek new look modeled after the company's Newton Series™ speakers. Featuring a downward-firing, heavy-duty acoustic-suspension woofer in a cube-shaped cabinet that will fit gracefully into a wide variety of rooms, the BassCube 12S can reproduce bass down to 32Hz. It features a bass level control, letting you crank it up for movies and turn it down for music-listening, as you prefer, as well as an electronic crossover frequency selector (which can be set as low as 55Hz and as high as 160Hz) to match the subwoofer to your speakers. The BassCube 12S also features both line input and speaker-level inputs so it can be connected to any receiver or amplifier. It is suitable for use even in large rooms and with powerful systems, and it will please most bass enthusiasts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sounds great, but auto amp setting isn't ideal., May 19, 2003

This review is from: Cambridge SoundWorks BassCube 12S Powered Subwoofer (Electronics)
Great sub (when you consider the price, it's an AWESOME sub). Only complaint is the loud POP it makes in the AUTO setting when shutting down the amp. I just leave it in the ON position, but the power savings would be nice.

5.0 out of 5 stars unbelievable, November 11, 2002

This sub offers unbelievable low-frequency extension and dynamic impact. For the price, I'd challenge you to find a better woofer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great given the right conditions, October 2, 2007

If you have a good sound system, an appropriately sized house or apartment, and can either overlook the annoying 'on/off' pop or afford the slight uptick in your electric bill from leaving it on all the time, it's a great subwoofer.
