I purchased this set of speakers about a year ago for my Macintosh G3 computer and have been nothing but completely happy with them. I was looking for some nice speakers with clear sound and solid bass that I could use with my music and computer games. I did not want anything too extravagant or expensive either...

If you are considering the purchase of this product, I would strongly recommend you take a look at the back of your computer first to avoid the problem I ran into. Make sure that your soundcard port has two plugs for the speakers. My computer only had one and required some additional work to accomodate the speakers. This sound system required two ports (plugs). I believe one is for the two front speakers, and the other is for the two back speakers. Regardless, in order to get these speakers properly working, I had to go out and buy a Y-cable which plugged into the single port and then splits into two to accomodate the two necessary plugs. I might add that this dramatically decreases the sound quality you get. I often got a lot of static or the back speakers might just cut off completely. I have since upgraded to a better soundcard with two ports.

All in all, this sound system is perfect for anyone who just wants their music to sound good at an affordable price.

These speakers are well worth your money, especially with the price that they are selling it for. The speakers and subwoofer maybe be small compared to other speaker systems but this is good in the fact that you can put it almost anywhere. Although, it is small it has a lot of power. Just half volume and it's already intense. It's excellent for Gaming, and Music. Especially with CounterStrike, and other multiplayer games. Gun shots, grenades, and all other effects are very crisp and intense. As for music goes it is one of the best I have experienced in Cambridge porducts (knowing that I have good knowledge in what speakers supposed to sound like). The Subwoofer surprised me because I didn't expect all that much power to come out, out of that small sub. Overall, I really enjoy the FPS 1600 and it is a very good investment that is well worth your money. I mean you can spend $...+ on other speakers that give you the same quality and power but for a higher price.

These little guys sound great! I use them for heavy, loud gaming, and am totally pleased with the performance. crisp highs, nice midrange and the low end (while not as low as it would be with a larger woofer) is thunderous. For the money, theyre killer little speakers.
