Intended to be used along with a powered subwoofer, the Cambridge SoundWorks MovieWorks satellite speakers are big on sound. The two-way design insures crisp, clear high frequencies and tight mid-bass. Outperforming the competition by using two kinds of drivers, each satellite speaker incorporates a long-throw mid-bass/midrange speaker and a 1 3/4-inch direct radiator tweeter. They provide excellent tonal balance, wide dispersion and pinpoint stereo imaging. And they're magnetically shielded, making them a great in situations where the speakers must be very close to the TV or monitor.
The MovieWorks satellites offer everything you could want in a high-quality surround speaker for reproduction of music and sound effects. White, also available in Black.
Note: Satellites alone do not reproduce low bass frequencies, so you will want to add a powered subwoofer (sold separately) for a full-range speaker system.

You should know that you'll need a powered subwoofer to go along with these little speakers if you want bass. But if you use them in a home theater application, you'll definitely enjoy them. They really do offer everything you could want for music and sound effects. I've paired mine with my Cambridge Soundworks Basscube 10.
