Including two-way main speakers, a low-profile center speaker, compact cube surround speakers, and a powered subwoofer, MovieWorks 308 is ideal for Dolby Pro Logic or Dolby Digital surround sound systems. It makes music sound very lifelike and natural, and reproduces movie soundtracks with outstanding realism.

The left and right main speakers in MovieWorks 308 use a two-way, shielded design, identical to the satellite speakers in Cambridge SoundWorks' acclaimed Ensemble III speaker system, which was rated a best buy by a leading consumer publication. They deliver rich, natural sound over a wide listening area, so everyone in the room hears proper stereo imaging. Because of their small size, you can place them just about anywhere, even hung on the wall using their built-in keyhole slots.

The center speaker is Cambridge SoundWorks' Center Channel II a wide-dispersion, high-output shielded design with two 3-inch mid-range drivers and a tweeter. Its dispersion, power-handling capacity, tonal balance and imaging make it an outstanding center speaker.

The surround speakers in MovieWorks 308 are only 4 x 4 x 3 5/8, so placement is simple. Despite their small size, however, they sound terrific. In fact, they're acoustically identical to the satellite speakers in Cambridge SoundWorks' best-selling Ensemble IV system, which Home Theater magazine compares to systems costing twice as much.

The low-frequency audio is reproduced by BassCube 8, the incredible giant killer powered subwoofer which uses a remarkable 8-inch long-throw woofer in a very compact cabinet with a built-in 50 watt amplifier. BassCube 8 delivers realistic bass performance down to 39Hz.
