Cambridge SoundWorks Model Twelve Transportable Music System

I travel 1000s of miles each year, and would not go anywhere without this system. It is a bit heavy- but that's because its a true industrial strength on the road system. When I fly, it checks easily, and can get bounced around. The hard case shows some wear, but the sound is still perfect. Plugs into portable CD or MP3 jukebox. I've also used it for work events to play music for a room of 300 people. I have a few friends who are in the music and recording business, and they travel with this system. It's also the preferred road system for the concert road crews - and believe me, they know what stands up.

I finally discovered this after reading about a semi permanent installation in "Cruising World".

I bought one for the boat and I have since attached another to my computer which I drive from iPod or iTunes respectively. The computer one I also use to take for presentations etc...

The sound is absolutely first class and way above this price level.

I can't believe that these have been around 14+ years and it took this long for a frequent traveler to discover them.

I can recommend absolutely without reservation.

I purchased this Portable speaker system after my last hotel stay. I have a portable MP3 jukebox (Creative Nomad) and brought along my old cheap computer speakers. Now my wife and I are music lovers and I tend to have Champaign ears. I just couldn't take that crappy, shallow, tinny no base sound anymore!! Now I have been eyeing The Model 12's for a couple of years (Now called the Mick Fleetwood signature edition) now if Mick is endorsing them you know they have to be great!! And let me tell you they are Amazing sounding! Great base and just a full deep sound, I am blown away with the sound this portable set up throws out there. Now let me just say it is a bit hefty in weight. This is not a cheaply made set up!! The case is heavy duty so it can take a beating and the satellites are a bit heavy (typical great quality construction from Cambridge soundworks) The amp is nice with separate bass, treble and balance controls and 4 selectable options for sound input (CD Aux1, Aux2 and tape)This system can be used with any rca type connection. I highly recommend this portable system if you want great sound on the road (or at home for that matter)

Just set up my Mick Fleetwood Model 12 today and can't believe that such an inexpensive unit can produce such high quality sound. I have previously owned systems costing several thousand dollars that did not sound this good. Cannot recommend it highly enough. I'm just amazed by this beautiful little system.

I hooked my Fleetwood Model 12 to my computer. Best music ever from the PC and Mac (there's multiple connections so both are hooked up at the same time). I also have the iPod connector always plugged in too so all I do is pop the earphone jack into the pod and I get instant tunes - So that's superior sound from PC/Mac/iPod without any wire fumbling. Have heard $5,000 systems that can't touch this one. Great buy!

I have a small sound production company, and own 3 of these. All 3 are plagued with a volume control that produces static when you turn it up or down. Other than that, the sound is unbelievable. I have used this over seas with a battery to DJ for 50 people, to using for sound for a presentation with an multimedia projector.

I am a very picky audiofile. I own the Monster Dr. Dre Beats for headphones and B&W speakers for my suround sound system. I played with getting the Bose wave system, that sounds pretty good but at $1090, is way over priced. I read about the Model 12's and was willing to shell out the $314 (with a coupon code of: welcome10) on the Cambridge Soundworks website. This is an AWESOME portable sound system. It is the perfect system for travel. I intend to take it with me for my 2 week vacation to Hawaii this summer. Yes, you have to hook up wires, but the portability and flexibility of being able to put the speakers where you want is incredible. I dare you to compare this with the Bose systems and even the B&W portable systems. I am extremely satisfied with the sound and quality. I don't understand why these are not flying off the shelves. I am tempted to buy a second to have at the office, but I am married and want to stay that way. Amazon has got to start carrying this system again.

Stunning sound and a steal at this price.Much better then your boxed speakers( Klipsch,boston acoustics) .Not quite as good as my Paradigms but I paid 2500 for the pair! and they are not portable clearly.

Why arent people buying more of these units I have no idea .Easy to set up
Trust me Im a very picky audiophile.
