Camco 11563 RV Aluminum Anode Rod Fits Suburban Heaters

I returned this anode rod because it did not fit my Suburban RV hot water heater. It's a 3/4" thread, not a 1/2" thread as required by my heater. This should have been listed in the product specifications.

$15 is cheap insurance for what could ammount to a well over $500 repair. Campers aren't cheap and niether is maintenance on them when something goes wrong. I think the "ounce of prevention" rule was written for RV and home owners. Anode rods are designed to prevent harmful build-up in your hot water heater by causing the build-up to form on them. Yes it works! While your getting one for you camper, you might want to check the one in your house hot water heater (yes it has one too, and I bet it's in need of replacement as well.) 5 minutes and 15 bucks can save you hundreds down the road.

The product was delivered promptly, its what I expected, no problems to mention of any nature. How the product performs won't be known until next spring when the rv will be placed back into service.

Ordered the Camco 11563 Anode to replace the original in out 5th wheel. Owners manual said to check/replace every 12 months. I let mine go just over 12 months thinking we had not camped that many times. I was so suprised when I removed the original and found it almost gone. Won't make that mistake again as now I will check/replace every six months. Oh yes, this was a perfect fit.

Not much to say it is a water heater plug and it fit my water heater.
