This product works well in helping to keep the interior of my home's refrigerator at 38 degrees F, even when outside temps top 105 F. It is not a cure for an incorrectly installed, damaged, or previously malfunctioning refrigerator.
Also, if the refrigerator side of your R.V. is in the shade (which is preferable) the solar cell will not power the fan, (Duh) so don't forget to flip the switch (included in install kit) to 12V. power so the fan will be running.
Also, since absorbtion type refrigerators are almost never of the frost free variety, it is also important to defrost your refrigerator regularly. Also remember to perform other maintenance as suggested by your refrigerator's manufacturor.

I installed the fan above the coils so I wouldn't have to pull the fridg out. The normal cooling fan used to kick in every 10/15 min. Now with this solar fan it only kicks in at night, not during the day when the solar fan runs. I'm very pleased with the performance so far. One note; shop for price. Iv'e seen this priced from $78 to over $140.

Product worked well at first. Within 2 months the thin, brittle plastic solar panel cover spontaneously fractured in several places. After about 6 months water leaked through the cracked cover and product quit working. I did not attempt to get Camco to replace it because I did not want to have a poorly designed replacement fail again. I just replaced the cover with a standard cover.
