5.0 out of 5 stars Great cover
We have an 09 Coleman Westlake and this cover fit perfect. The cover itself is very durable and well made and very easy to secure to the trailer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cover is a bit over-sized!
When I saw the ad for the Camco 10'-12' ULTRAGuard Camper Cover, I figured the cover must be twice as good as the competition's camper cover because it cost twice as much as the competition's cover. This review is from: Camco 45762 RV 10'-12' ULTRAGuard Pop'-Up Camper Cover (Automotive)
When I saw the ad for the Camco 10'-12' ULTRAGuard Camper Cover, I figured the cover must be twice as good as the competition's camper cover because it cost twice as much as the competition's cover. Surprisingly, the Camco cover is constructed from what seems to be very durable materials (Made in China). I have a pop-up camper with a 12 foot box. Thus, I ordered the Camco 10'-12' cover which is made to fit any pop-up from 10 to 12 feet. Figuring my camper was a 12 foot box, the cover should fit a 12 foot box a lot better than a 10 foot box. Well, that's just it... GO FIGURE! When I put the new cover over my camper, it was still over-sized by about 6" on each end of the top and after strapping the cover down on the sides, the ends still sag quite a bit. So much so that not only can I cover the spare tire on the rear (which is normal), I can also cover the double-propane tanks on the front (not normal). But, even covering all that stuff, the cover is still quite baggie on the ends, particularly the rear end. I feel particularly bad for the person with a 10 foot box that orders the 10'-12' cover. I actually thought about exchanging the cover for a 8'-10'. But, sure as rain in the spring, if I exchanged it, the 8'-10' cover would probably be too short at the top. So, it's a live-and-learn situation. And it still seems the cover will serve the purpose it was intended for. Only time (and a good windy day or two) will tell if this cover will be efficient enough to continue using. They say hindsight is 20/20. Therefore, my advice to others looking to purchase a 10'-12' cover would be to try to shop locally if possible in order to make returning the cover easier should the need arise... OR contact the manufacturer of your camper to get a cover that will probably fit your camper like a glove.

Aside from my misfortunes, the cover seems to be well-made and basically is a beautiful cover. You simply should not expect the cover to look as beautiful as the picture in the advertisement as pop-up campers come in many different geometric shapes (other than simply square like the picture in this ad) and sizes. And remember, a 2 foot differential with each size is quite a lot. So, don't expect 'exactly' what you see in the picture. In fact, another manufacturer through Amazon sells a triple layer cover with vents for under $50. However, those do not have support straps on the sides for added security from the elements.

Shop carefully and wisely is my final advice. Money's pretty hard to get these days!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice cover; runs long, September 13, 2010

I heard somewhere that you should buy a cover a foot longer than your box if you have an AC on top, which I do on my 12' Coleman Tacoma ('03). Not good advice, at least with this cover. Even with the large AC unit, this cover overhangs the front and back of my roof by about a foot each, based on the seams where the "top" fabric (heavier) is sewed onto the "ends." I think the 10-12 footer would've been a better fit. But, having said that, when it's strapped on it still looks OK (covers the propane tanks and most of the tongue; not a bad thing) and feels pretty secure. It didn't move around during the first big wind of the fall, and the shorter cover seems to be back-ordered through Amazon, so I'll keep it.

Otherwise, nice cover. Feels like quality fabric, good tie downs, etc. Just err on the side of shorter rather than longer.

ordered the Camco ULTRA guard to cover my Starcrest 1701 pop up camper when not in use. Would like to be able to store it indoors but that is not possible.
I ordered the Camco cover to provide some UV protection for the camper when stored off season. The 8-10 foot fits but is a wee bit big but it should work with some additional strapping to keep it secure. the included bungee straps are nice but I question how well they will hold up over time in a "stretched" state.

UPDATE: 1 Sept 2011; a little over a year and half old and its starting to break down a bit (as I would expect due to ultraviolet exposure) I also have it near a flag that hangs from my home and the repeated rubbing of the flag on the fabric has warn some spots of the fabric covering the middle plastic layer away (I have removed the flag) but the plastic layer is starting to peel away from the under layer so I will probably need to be replacing the whole cover within a few more months.
If left unmolested (by things repeatedly rubbing against or kids snagging it with bike handle bars, lawn mower handles as mine has been) it should last a good 2 years. Still very happy with it and will most likely order another to replace this one to keep my camper protected from UV, tree sap and stains.

5.0 out of 5 stars I lvoe my Camco UltraGuard, February 13, 2011

Very nice cover. It comes with it's own storage bag that cinches with draw strings and it includes patching material should it be needed. The cover itself is very durable and well made. The material is very soft so as to not scratch the finish on the camper. There are several vent flaps along the sides to ensure adequate ventilation beneath the cover to prevent condensation, which can lead to staining mold growth. The cover is prominently marked with front and rear printed on it letting you know both the direction and which side goes up. Putting it on is very intuitive. It has four adjustable slightly stretchy straps attached along the top edge of the two long sides. There is a protected (to prevent scratching) bendable metal strip (approximately 2"x 5 or 6") attached to each strap that make securely attaching the straps to the camper frame a snap. The slight stretchiness in the strap provides just the right amount of tension to keep them in place. I only had to adjust the fit during the original install. In both January and February when I came up to camp I just popped the straps loose from the frame tossed the sides up on the roof of my Pop Up and pulled the cover off from the front, rolling up as I went. When I back up I did just the reverse and re-secured the straps without having to readjust them at all. Trust me when it's cold that's a blessing. I've found putting this cover on initially took maybe 30 minutes. Now removing takes less than ten minutes and putting it back on maybe 15 minutes, and that's because I double check everything. I put this cover on mid November at the beginning of winter and I've returned and used my camper twice since then in January and February. The cover is staying put and holding up well. My camper is located on a heavily wooded lot in northern Virginia and there's been above normal snow fall this year. I have not seen any adverse affects to the top thus far. I will update this review if I have a differing experience, but so far I am very pleased. I do have another cover on another Pop Up camper. I bought this cover from a different manufacturer two years ago. While it's held up well and protected that camper for two winter seasons I find the Camco UltraGuard to be much easier to install and remove. I will buy from Camco from now on.

So far so good. Cover is bulky and not form fitting but straps hold it firmly in place. Had hurricane force winds last week and cover is still on! I am impressed!

very happy with this cover. I have a 10' Aliner popup and it is generous enough to cover the complete camper including the propane tank and hitch. easy to install. /the delivery service was very fast.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as long as everyone says!, May 23, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Bought the 12-14 ft cover and kept it in my garage for the ultimate destruction of my old cover. Finally brought it out for my 12 ft Jayco with storage box (1998). Not quite long enough for my Jayco. Now, I admit, the Jayco is a big trailer. And the storage box up front makes it even bigger. But next time I will buy the 14-16 foot. I kept this one too long and am stuck with it but it does not quite cover the box of the trailer... never mind the propane tank and battery.

Bottom line, I will buy the 14-16 foot one next time. Read that to say it is nicely made trailer cover of superior materials.
