What a great grill! I used it 4 times now and it's the best small gas grill I have ever used (and I am a grill-a-holic). The quick connect hose that comes with the grill works great with my Jayco TT that came equiped with the quick connect fitting underneath. Sure is cost effective not having to use those small LP cylinders. So far I have not found any hot spots, but I do use a piece of aluminum foil on top of the cast iron drip plate which makes cleaning a snap! Priced at just over $200.00, shipping included, it was the best bargain I found anywhere.

We've got a camping trip this weekend with a crowd of 11 for dinner. This grill seemed perfect, that is until we mounted it to the camper. The tack welds for the cover and the burner broke upon installation. Even if the grill makes a great steak or burger, it's hard to justify $200 for something so poorly made.

1 year later: From 1 star to 2 stars. We got our replacement with no hassle. The second grill was constructed much better. However, we bought this grill because we liked the stainless steel look. Upon first use, it turned brown on the outside because it runs so hot. The entire grill is brown and black now. It's very hard to regulate the temperature. Use your money to buy something else.

After unpacking and separating the parts, I started to read the assembly directions. I quickly noticed that the welding spots on the grill were broken. The welding spots were very small and inadequate for the size and weight of the grill. The prior reviews did mention this, but I thought I would give it a try. The welding spots that came loose were in two places. 1) At the bottom where there is a piece of medal that you put a screw into that holds the burner. 2) On the grill lid, there is a plate that it attaches to which pivots the lid open and closed. This plate had weld spots that came lose, so the grill lid would not stay attached to the grill.

I should have returned it, but the box was in bad shape and didn't want to mess with the hassle of returning a large box. So I spent 5 hours instead drilling holes and screws into the parts where the welds were broken. After I was done, I should have just returned it.

I did hook it up to my camper and it did light and looks like it will work just fine now, if the screws I added will hold up to the heat. If they don't, it goes in the trash and I am going to buy a Weber and find a quick connect attachment somewhere.

I bought this grill for our TT. Assembled it today and gave it a whirl. I would have given it 5 stars, but the ignition system does not light the grill. I think the spark it makes is just too small. I can see it spark, but the gas doesn't catch. The use of a long candle lighter works very well. The grill's looks as well as it's fit and finish are excellent. I used the supplied quick connect hose to connect to the RV's LP line and bought the mounting rail to have it set right above the connection. A great setup indeed.

This product was well built and easy to assemble. Please keep in mind that if you don't have a newer RV with the proper connection you will need to purchase a separate gas supply system for either small disposable bottles or connections for a larger propane tank. Also of note is the igniter is very sensitive to where it is placed for it to work properly. Bottom line is you have a high quality BBQ that puts out enough heat to get the job done.

The box the grill came in had been re-taped, looked like a returned product. The bracket that holds the burner unit was bent and had to be straightened. The drip tray edges were bent and tray wouldn't latch. Fixed everything and tried to light grill, igniter wouldn't work. Will try to get replacement. Would have returned whole mess but was in remote area and really needed grill.

the cast aluminum model camco makes ... the Camco 57310 RV Olympian 5100 Elite Grill... does everything this one does...is much more robustly constructed... and is 1/3 the price.

Started putting this together and as I was checking to see if all the parts were there I had one extra part. It turned out to to the bracket that the burner installs to. It is supposed to be welded to the bottom frame. The welds are just spot welds and they are extremly small and had no penitration into the metal. With all the bolts and rivits holding this grill together you think they could spare 4 more to install this bracket more securely. Customer service for Camco is open only till 4:00PM eastern time which is 3:00 PM here so it will be intersting to get ahold of them, thankfully I don't live on the west coast. Will see how it goes when I get ahold of them.

I would buy this grill again in a heartbeat if anything happeded to this one. It's well built and cooks like a dream. I did have to make some adjustments on the ignighter to get it to light the first time but it may have moved in shipping. Lighting this grill with a lighter is just as easy through an air vent hole on the side. The "smokplate" is heavy cast which provides even heat all the way to the edges... no hot spots on this grill at all. I use it several times a week and love it every time. Very happy with this grill!!

Assembled very easily, sets up easily, heats up quickly, cooks evenly, cleans up easily, and tears down easily. We love how you can either set it up on a table or hang it on the side of camper. Recommend the storage bag to go with it. It does take a long time to cool down afterwards, maybe 45 minutes, so keep that in mind if you're in a rush.
