I purchased this battery for my JVC GZ-MG30U. It works very well. I get a full 3.50 - 3.90 hours of continuous runtime (recording and playback). This is an absolute bargain for the price. The battery is 3.5" long. My camcorder is only 4.25" long. The stock BN-VF707U battery is barely longer than 0.75". It looks a little silly sticking out so far, but works VERY well.

The Battery never works and finally was impossible to return to the dealer, because is very expensive for me (I am at the end of South America)

after two months this low class, cheap, bad quality battery stopped working. I still cannot believe the battery stop retaining its charge after two month of usage.

Be carefull when ordering from this person. They sale really cheap but very bad quality products..

Take a good look at this ad before you purchase the item. Go over it with a fine tooth comb if you must. I own a JVC GZ-MG77U camcorder and while the battery I recieved is compatible it is not what I thought I was ordering. This vendor uses conflicting methods to get you to purchase something other than what you think you are buying. The picture in this ad is that of the BN-VF733 (5hrs. +) battery. It is not of the BN-VF707, which is what I recieved. If you look at the enlarged picture it even has "BN-VF733" part no. in plain view, validating my disappointment in this purchase. I looked at various amazon ads and decided on this one because I thought I was purchasing the VF733 like what is pictured. The heading along with the picture are conflicting making you think that you are purchasing the extended time batery (BN-VF733, pictured) which replaces the BN-VF707 (in the heading). It is ovbious to me that this vendor must have incompitent people working for them when they can not seem to apply the right picture for their ad.
Furthermore the first reviewer tells about how he was able to get a full 3.5 + hrs of continuous play/record time out of this battery. These numbers are consistent at the very least with the BN-VF714 battery. At the most I can only get 1 hr. and 25 min. from the battery I recieved, not 5 hrs.& 40 min (BN-VF733, battery pictured) or even the 3.5 hrs + as stated by another reviewer.

Bottom line: While the battery is compatible with my camcorder I am not pleased with what I recieved. I thought I was purchasing the BN-VF733 (what is pictured). I gave it a 1 star rating because it is compatible. My recomendation is to visit the actual JVC website/distributor/vendor and order from them instead.
