I think I'll be using this myself sometimes!
Kurtis
I would have given it 5 stars, but the "broom" part is practically full sized, which makes me wonder if this is actually just a broom for shorter people.

They are made by folks in Michigan who seem to love what they do.

We have two because the games and stories my children made of having one beautiful broom of their own evolved to warrant having another. Often the first toy a visiting child gravitates to, a well-made childs broom is kindling for pretend play. May I also suggest the hand-sweeper and small metal dust pan that can be found on several Montessori and natural sites.
Unlike the other reviewer, I do not find the broom to make a mess. I suggest they exchange it for another. My littlest, age 1, was fascinated with bending a bristle all the way back and pulling it off for a short time until I showed her how she could sweep with it. I guess that could be a mess.

I chose this for an older child (7), who needs a little taller broom than some children's brooms. I gave it a 5 rating because it is extremely well made and my granddaughter liked it. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I bought this for my 20 month old grandson who likes to help sweep, but can't manipulate a full sized broom. This broom is very well built and should last for years. Although it cost quite a bit more than the toy brooms I looked at, I think this will be a better value. I would have given it 5 stars, but the "broom" part is practically full sized, which makes me wonder if this is actually just a broom for shorter people. But, my grandson loves it and can have an easier job of "helping."

This is a traditionally built corn broom. It is solidly built and a great size for a preschooler. We got it for our toddler who loves to help mommy and daddy around the house and he if very attached to his broom.
