From the Back Cover

For seventeen years, Elaine served her master, Satan, with total commitment. Then she met Dr. Rebecca Brown, who served her master, Jesus Christ, with equal commitment. Elaine, one of the top witches in the U.S., clashed with Dr. Brown, who stood against her alone. In the titanic life-and-death struggle that followed, Dr. Brown nearly lost her life. Elaine, finding a power and love greater than anything Satan could give her, left Satan and totally committed her life to Jesus Christ. This is an honest, in-depth account of Satan's activities today. You'll see how to:*Recognize and combat the many satanists who regularly infiltrate and destroy Christian churches.*Recognize and combat satanic attacks.*Recognize those serving Satan, and bring them to Jesus Christ.

About the Author

Rebecca Brown, M.D., was a young intern just out of medical school when she first encountered the activities of a group of Satanists. She began a lifelong journey of danger and excitement as she followed step-by-step the Lord's commands for her life. She learned complete trust and obedience as God faithfully guided her to truth and ultimate victory. This remarkable woman has ministered to thousands of people through her books, seminars and individual counseling. Dr. Brown's vast experience through personal encounters gives exceptional credibility to her teaching. While there are many Christian authors who write on the subject of the occult, few have the extensive hands-on experience of Rebecca. In fourteen years of ministry, Dr. Brown has led many people out of hard-core Satanism and all types of occult bondage, including Eastern mysticism and New Age philosophy, and into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She has also effectively taught believers how to defend themselves against demonic activity by strengthening themselves daily in the Lord by obeying His Word. When Rebecca first encountered the shocking facts behind Satanism and the occult, there was little accurate information available on these dark and evil practices. Movies and television shows that portrayed the supernatural were regarded by the average viewer as fiction. By contrast, today it is common to see newspapers and talk shows discussing details of Satanic ritualistic abuse, demon possession and "white" witchcraft. In spite of the popularity of these topics, however, the full truth is not being accurately disclosed. As a result, there are massive numbers of Christians being deceived in their schools, on the job and even in their own churches.Rebecca candidly discusses the brutal facts and little-known secrets of the occult, such as placement of "inserts" and the practice of "caging." She deals with demons in a no-nonsense manner that takes the "three-ring circus" out of deliverance. Her instruction is based on the simple steps of faith found in Scripture. She emphasizes that these steps are also necessary for the believer's entire Christian walk.Rebecca Brown has authored these best-selling books: He Came To Set The Captives Free, Prepare For War, Unbroken Curses, and Becoming A Vessel of Honor. They have been translated into over twelve languages and are used worldwide as teaching tools in churches and ministries. Her counsel is often sought by pastors, doctors and lawyers. In addition, her books are utilized by various U.S. law enforcement officials as part of their training programs for dealing with the occult.Although there are many Christian books exposing the occult, Dr. Brown's are among the few that offer definite answers and specific personal advice. They have helped countless people to pray effectively and to protect themselves from demonic attack and bondage.

I have read this book many times in my life.

Whoever reads this book, before you read this book ask God pray and ask God for His Spirit to lead and guide you into all truths.
T. Clark
So how is it that Ms. Brown seems to think that satan would "tare" a demon to "shreds" for telling the truth?

This book is true and I don't have to know the author personally to know this but because of my own spiritual battles and the parallels between what I have seen and what is in this book. Thankfully my own experiences were not as dramatic as Elaine's because I turned my back on the occult before my involvement became too deep. satan and demons do exist but so does God, Jesus, Holy Spirit & all the heavenly angels!!!! Its simply a matter of whose side are you on & whether we like it or not we are on a side, there is no neutral territory...
and I would like to strongly caution every single person who assumes they completely understand the innermost functioning of the spiritual realm around us by saying the events such as the ones in this book are bogus and do not happen, to from this moment forward stay silent if you do not know the 100% validity of what you are saying. More goes on in the natural realm, the spiritual realm & the intermingling of the two then one could ever know. Here are my credentials: tortured almost every single night from the 7th grade till after I graduated High School by demonic forces because of my occult involvement...only since giving my life over to God have I had the power of victory through Christ. Since then I still battle witches and demons but they have no power of me. Why?? because I know how to battle them. And I am deeply saddened by those would rather live in ignorance of the reality of the kingdom of darkness and its affect on our daily lives if we allow it, regardless of the name you stamp on it to make yourself feel better. I pray you come to the truth of the world we live in, but until then I advise you to be careful about what & who you speak out against.

This book came into my life after a year of being harassed by evil. I was NOT into the occult, but moved into a house previously owned by those that were. I did not know Jesus Christ at the time, nor did I fully believe in the Holy Bible. Our Lord sent a friend into my life to tell me about the awesome power Jesus has over Satan and his demons. She bought me a bible and I began reading it. They attacked me ten times worse! I was terrified. (Satan uses fear to keep you from the truth) Later, my friend handed me Rebecca Brown's book. I sat and cried as I read it. She wrote many many things I was living EVERYDAY! These people that call it fiction, I pray you will never be attacked as I was.....because you will change your attitude. The Lord used this experience not only to show me I was "wrong" in my beliefs, but also to train me how to be a warrior for Christ. Rebecca's attacks during her book were due to training experience, and if you read them all, you will see that she learned well from the Lord. Some comments state she made up things as she went along, and some in the craft state she has it all wrong. The way some occultists practice are different from others. Satan uses a method that will work for you. There are no two people alike. Those that oppose this the most I have to question why? Has she hit on something that woke you up to the truth? Some are saying that the werewolves she talked about are false. How do you know that? I've read many other books by ex-occultists that said werewolves are used for extreme discipline. After what I experienced myself with evil spirits, I will NOT say that Rebecca Brown's book is a fraud. The truth is always attacked by those that are against it. Take the Holy Bible for instance.Read more ›

We had a lady come to our church having suffered from SRA (satanic ritual abuse). She was possessed by at least 9 demons, and plagued with mental problems resulting from their influence on her mind. This is only one of many incidences that have occured since we became more equipped. I had no idea how to help her and others truly find freedom until I read this book. I'M A CONSERVATIVE PASTOR, IN A CONSERVATIVE CHURCH, IN A CONSERVATIVE TOWN, IN A CONSERVATIVE DENOMINATION. This kind of material in not what I usually read! However, I'm also very practical. If it works and squares up firmly with the written scriptures of God, then I want it. This book helped us to deal with situations that my seminary classes did not prepare me for. And what is most impressive with Dr. Brown's book is this - it actually works. I know from personal experience that these tools are Bible-based and effective. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO BELIEVES THAT CHRIST TRULY WANTS TO SET FREE THOSE HELP CAPTIVE BY THE ENEMY.

I have read this book several times and years ago have written to the author to get her story as well. The author's real name is Ruth Bailey, who had her medical license revoked in the state of Indiana. She also got in trouble with the medical board for giving her patients an unusually high dose of Demerol, for having delusions about patients suffering from demonic oppression, and for repeatedly misdiagnosing her patients. (All these findings have been documented by Bob and Gretchen Passantino and researcher John Baskette in the Answers in Action website, along with investigative research by Rev. G. Richard Fisher and other pastors, and Pastor Charles Younts. These are people who have done their research and spoken to the authors in person. Just Google: Rebecca Brown or Ruth Bailey and you'll find these links).

I am in no way a Satanist (but a born-again believer in Christ who is vehemently opposed to Satanism). The author claims that her account is factual, and it is important for readers to determine whether her findings are factual and to discern truth from error. After doing research on her background and reading through her book, I came to the conclusion that much of what she wrote is fabricated. Reviewers, be careful not to label any dissenters as Satanists, "demon-possessed," or unspiritual unless you have done your research on this author.

I have read numerous credible accounts on Satanism and would highly recommend books by Clinton Arnold on demons and spiritual warfare. Bob and Gretchen Passantino has also written a carefully researched guide on Satanism. One of the best studies on Satan and demons is the book Powers of Evil by Sydney Page. C. Fred Dickason has written some excellent works on angels and demon-possession.
