This adapter makes it extremely easy to refill my Camelbak Omega via my Katadyn Hiker water filter. No longer do I have to balance my Camelbak, and my filter in order to refill it. That said, the adapter that plugs into my Omega had a difficult time getting in all the way. I recommend getting your tubing nice and warm before you try to cram the new adapter neck into it. Still, five stars.

I use this quick disconnect with a Katadyn Hiker Pro (filter) and a Platypus Hoser (bladder). It is rather large, but it is an indispensable part of my ultralight backpacking gear. It fits through the hydration sleeves of my backpack without a problem. It allows me to refill my bladder without taking it out of my pack. Plus, there is a shut-off valve which prevents water from leaking out when I disconnect the bite value for refills. Additionally, when I set up camp I can hang my platypus from a tree, and use the shut-off valve to fill up cups for tea, or my pot for food. It makes refilling on the trail a much easier experience, and getting water in camp much more convenient.

If you have a water filter that does not fit on your camelbak, get this and backfill it. It makes like so much easier.
