I originally purchased this pack for Trail Running. It is perfect for this purpose. You can tighten the chest strap and waist strap so even with a full 3 Liters in the water bladder won't have movement at a full run. I am an avid outdoorsman hunting, fishing, hiking ect. This pack is exactly what I was looking for a multifunctional E.D.C. Pack that can Carry Water! I keep it in my car and it doubles as my "Get Home Bag" just in case. It's Light, Comfortable, Well Made, Multifunctional, Small Profile with Good Capacity. I like having just enough room to add what you really need and not a bunch of stuff that adds extra weight and not essential.

I have used similar products in the past but got this specifically for an extended hunting trip in Colorado. It performed perfectly. The water bladder is quiet, so no sloshing to spook game. Multiple exit points for the tubing, so you can position it where it suits you best. Plenty of storage room. I carried a first aid kit, camo poncho, snacks, flashlight, crossword puzzle book, duct tape, etc. and I didn't feel weighed down. The fleece lined compartment that is for night vision goggles is the perfect size for my binoculars. Multiple attachment points and clips let me add additional gear to the outside (clipped on my gloves and hat when it got warm, and added a rain jacket to the velcro area on the bottom front for one rainy day hunt). The waist belt deatches from the pack, which allowed me to put my possibles bag on the waist belt (perfect for muzzleloading). All in all, I was very satisified with the pack (and my hunt!).

I've been looking for something smaller than a HAWG but with compartments and pockets just enough to carry the essentials I need when going trail running. I finally found the perfect pack for me for that 1 day trail run on weekends and Camelbak products are guaranteed to last.

Needed more water and storage for long long mountain bike rides. Perfect for carrying all the tools and spare parts for my bike for those repairs in the field.

Ive used many camelbak products. As always its very high quality, the bag is spacious and carrys more than needed for any hiking trip or day pack., the molle compatible front is also a very nice touch for attachments, or extra packing. The straps are very comfortable and can def take weight and abuse. The condura fabric is very tuff. Impressive quality in comparison to many other bags. This replaced my old camel mule pak I purchased in 2003. That bag saved my life twice, once from being severly dehydrated from contaminated food on a camping trip. 3 liters kept me alive till I got to civilization and another time in a climbing accident, from a 20ft fall landing flat on my back. Thanks to that bag I walked away with only bruises. To this day that bag is still in one piece without a rip or poking thread. Considering this new one is better quality than my old camelbak,im confident it will serve the same if not better. I highly recommend this bag!, and all other camelbak products. Osprey, stan sport, rei,no other bags compare. I stand by Camelbak and all their products. Humans are made of 70% water. Why wouldnt you carry what your made of.... Hydrate or die

I bought this mainly for summer rides on the motorcycle. It is built pretty tough and seems like it could be beat up quite a bit. The water bladder holds 3 liters and is made of a thick, durable material. This bag does not hold very much stuff, but I have packed it with some basic first-aid items, a flashlight, a knife, matches, lighter, firetool (lol redundancy), tinder, and some other assorted items. This is basically my hiking/offroad bag. The only issues I've experienced is that it takes some experimentation to find out the best way to position the hose that works for you. Also, the insulating material around the drinking tube has started to ride down, and I can't really pull it back up with my fingers very easily. So some of the clear drinking tube is exposed. Also, regardless of the insulating material, your first sip of water is going to range from warm to really hot depending on the outside temperature. If you put ice in the water bladder the backpack does a reasonable good job of insulating and keeping it cool so you can have several hours of cold water.

The 3L CamelBak MULE is one of the best out there. Very minimal, yet big/sturdy enough to hold your water and essetial gear. I bought the black color, and YES it came with the Mil Spec Antidote bladder. The description states it comes with the Omega bladder, but I guess they have since updated the MULE, which is great! It's very easy to open, fill, and maintain. Plus the on/off lever on the bite valve makes things so much easier when roaming around. Also, the cordura fabric is badass. Highly recommend the MULE for a good amount of water/gear, but if you want something a bit smaller than the MULE, check out the Camelbak Ambush (Small disclaimer, the Ambush doesn't have shoulder straps like the MULE, they are not padded.)
