can't live without it!,

While I was initially disappointed that I would have to acquire another item to make my Camelbak completely hands-free, the addition of this item has done exactly what I wanted; made me able to use my hiking poles and not have to stop to get water. Usually bicyclists are the ones looking for such a thing, but if positioned correctly, one can still find the bite valve even with jarring movements such as walking. Anyone doing physical labor would appreciate this; it's so nice to be able to get that sip of water anytime you need, no matter what implement you're holding in your hands. For that very reason I took it on a trail maintenance hike where I was lopping down saw palmetto branches for several hours, and it worked splendidly. I wish this were built into all Camelbaks, but at only $10.00, you will get over the cost of the upgrade in a hurry!

It is indeed the same length as the tube that came with my bladder. It might be unclear, but this also includes the tube and bite valve as seen in the product photo.
That said, this does the trick well. While cycling on my Diamondback Overdrive 29'er Mountain Bike (2011 Model, 29-Inch Wheels), Satin Black it makes drinking out of my 100 ounce Replacement Reservoir Bladder (replacement for CamelBak Omega HydroTitanium) loaded in a Maxpedition Falcon-II Backpack very streamlined. I just wish it were another 6-8 inches longer, so it could be more easily maneuvered and fitted to wearing my pack lower. Adding a CONVERSION KIT WITH HYDROLOCK to finish it off, and keep my bladder from wetting everything should my pack lean up against the bite valve, and make filling it easier with a filter.

The tube director was an excellent addition to the Camelback stowaway, you can bend it to any position to easily keep it where you want it. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that after using it for about two weeks the end of the tube started leaking slightly when they stowaway was completely full.
